A fuller idea of what you want to do would help?

2D graphics can be added in DAZ Studio of course, but do you mean to a 3D model of a T-Shirt? If so, which one, and what are you trying to add?

Animation is done from the Animation Timeline, or the Animate2 pane, both of which are docked at the bottom of the screen in most layouts. Click on the double arrows at the bottom of the screen to see them, or go to Wondow > Panes (Tabs) to load them if they are not already loaded.

There is also a manual available here : http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/start

A 3D object is usually UV mapped (All products from the DAZ store are UV mapped). A UV map basically tells the program how a 2D image should be applied to a 3D object.
For the T-shirt example, you would need to find the UV template of the T-shirt and then edit the 2D image (in a 2D program like gimp or photoshop) to fit in the right place. You can then load the edited 2D image in the 3D program :)

For DAZ products you can download the templates from your product library.
You can easely create the UV template of other 3D models with the free program "UV Mapper classic" (if the model is UV mapped):
    http://www.uvmapper.com/downloads.html
Just load the OBJ in UVmapper and it will show you the template. You can also save the template to use in photoshop or an other 2D program.
