It's not that I haven't seen your post. I just haven't got an answer. I'm not yet on Win 8 so I have no idea what's wrong. It might be something in your computer or graphics card settings. There are many using Bryce with Win 8 successfully.

    Oops...read that wrong.

When it does open and go to select the color...is the cursor in the middle of what you want or near an edge?

Thinking of some other ideas, right now, but have to look at few things, first...

Have you tried holding down the the alt key or ctrl+alt while you clicked in the colour swatch?

I run Bryce in WINE on Linux and recent builds mostly work fine, but there are some odd things that happen and one is I have to be extremely careful when pointing/clicking. If the cursor isn't still and exactly where I want it, then I don't get the desired results....hence my question. I don't have Win8, so I can't test anything there.

I did run this query past both the Mod team and the CV team, and no one has ever seen a problem like this occur, in any program, and we do have a couple or 3 teccy types around.

You have really found a strange problem for us to solve.

Thanks to all for your comments. The "Alt/Ctrl" use does bring up a useable color palette.... though rather clumsy, it does put me back to work. Thank you Steve McKim
