A 1905-vintage Buick would be an almost sure-fire buy for me.

Thanks! I used the Gateways HDRI for the scene and GIMP for the radial blurs of the wheels.

Hi all. Still here, just busy! Loads of cool stuff. Love the hot rod Santa...hahaha. Also, The bluring of things makes motion more believable. Nice work. Also, lots of cool obscure cars here. Keep 'um coming.

This car was once considered for the Bat Mobile way back when he first got started. Then maybe the Batgirl Car. Both failed to be given the title.

'67 Chevelle SS. One of my favorite muscle cars of all. I had a friend who had one just like this one back when I was a kid. It was the baddest car I ever rode in. He could lay black marks on the road that went forever! Both tires just smoking like crazy. 396, four speed. Way too fast!

Sorry about the quality of my renders here. My main pooter with the "Vida" graphics card is ,once again, down. It is in the shop. This is my extra pooter with Windows 7 and an AMD card which Daz does not support. This is the best I could get, but it will do for now. When I get my main one back, I can add some backgrounds or scene with out the grain everywhere. Thanks guys.

Goggles and face masks, too, I'd imagine.  Unless you like bugs in your teeth or hitting your eyes.

Interesting, although the rear seater passnegers might get a bit sunburned..

Did you know about the 1955 Corvette Nomad wagon concept?

The text read, "What is pretty, pink and really fast? Meet at the beach to find out!"

Td3d's Wild Fantasy Roadster - not really a beach buggy but I couldn't resist.

I'm looking for a 1979 Ford Bronco,  any ideas where I might find one?

  • hacsarthacsart Posts: 2,025

    from wikipedia..

    "

Mercedes-Benz did not announce what the abbreviation "SL" meant when the car was introduced. Leicht means either "easy" as an adverb or "light" as an adjective in German. Defining a car it has to mean "Light". It is often assumed that the letters stand for Sport Leicht. One car magazine in 2012 declared that the abbreviation "SL" - "securitized and personally signed by Rudolf Uhlenhaut" meant Super Leicht.[7] This contradicts "Mercedes-Benz 300 SL" of Engelen / Riedner / Seufert, which was produced in close cooperation with Rudolf Uhlenhaut showing that the abbreviation meant Sport Leicht.[8] Mercedes-Benz used both forms until 2017. It was even called Super Super.[9] On the company website it was called Sport Leicht until 2017 and than changed to Super Leicht.[10]

For a long time it was unclear what intention the company had at the time when assigning the letter combination. It was not until the beginning of 2017 that a chance finding in the corporate archive, from the early part of 1952, clarified that at least in the case of the 300 SL the abbreviation SL stood for Super-Leicht.[11]"
