Genesis body parts not selectable (selectable IS enabled)
I have a couple Genesis figures in a scene. When I click on certain body parts--but not others--the region does not get highlighted in yellow and I cannot select that part individually. I CAN select each material region on their bodies, however.
This behavior sounds like what should happen if I have certain body parts marked as unselectable (the x next to the arrow in the Scene tab). However, nothing actually is marked that way, not on the parent figure or any of the individual body parts.
I CAN still select the parts by selecting them in the Scene tab, just not in the main window. However, doing this will be highly tedious for tweaking poses.
Restarting DAZ does not fix this. Saving the figure as an asset and reloading it does not fix this. Loading a new Genesis figure works fine and every part is selectable on it.
Might there be some other setting that is keeping the parts from being selectable that I'm unaware of? Might this be a bug?
Thanks!

If you hide one of the unselectable parts, by clicking the eye in the Scene pane or by using the Visible button in Parameters, does it go or does it stay?
It hides as expected.
This is most likely not the answer, but is there any possibility you are clicking on part of the universal manipulator tool by accident while trying to select something behind it? For example, one of the arrow's heads, or the rotation line, etc.
Pretty sure not. I've tried different zooming levels and angles to no avail. Plus, certain body parts do work fine without any kind of strange positioning.
I have ended up just creating new Genesis figures and copying over the materials and morphs, so at least it isn't blocking me. Still, rather strange.
I just came across the same problem (V4, not Genesis) and I think I've spotted the reason.
In the scene window, expanded view, make sure you have a ittle tick on the arrow next to the eye symbol in the left hand column. Some of my limbs had a "x" there. Restoring the tick allowed me to select them again.
If you mean the part is not selecting in the Viewport it could be the Settings for the TOOL you are using. Open Windows>Panes (tabs)> Tool and check the setting for the tool you are using.
