My first work
Hello.
I'm really new at 3d art. Just started practicing 2 month ago, and just a few hours a week due to work.
For now, I just saw the tutorials of DAZ Studio 4 3D Software Education and train by them.
After see them all, I did this work without a tutorial to guide me. The scene was a free download I made... but found out it is not very good since it always give some errors in render.
I know this is not very good. Have really lots to learn in lighting... :S And the scene didn't helped... Is probably one of the worsts work in lighting I have... but the others were made with the help of tutorials so... I think is natural... Have to train much more with lighting.
Just in the beginning of the new year I will be able to dedicate more to arts again (and finally)... But I decided to post this now to have some critics. Critics are always good to evolute (and keep ego in the right place :P).

We all started somewhere and this is not bad at all! I'm not good at giving detailed critiques, for I still consider myself a newbie.
I've been at it since february and with every new 'project' I do, I keep learning more and more. So.. my advise would be,, just keep playing and experimenting. There is not definite right or wrong. If you like it, it's good enough :)
And whatever you do, have FUN!
Thank you for your kind words. The only reason why I got here in these 2 months is because I'm really loving Daz.
It was a very hard year for me and I had to work a lot in other things... But I can't be happy always putting art in second place.
That's why I'm arranging my life to put art in first place again, not only 3d art which I'm starting just now, but all my art works.
I will keep training and experimenting.
I went to see your works. Really loved them! And it was inspiring! Hope in some months have good works like yours. :)
Trust me, your first attempt was better than mine - I used the dragon too but I didn't know how to put textures/skin on him, so he looked like a plastic toy! I've learned a lot since then, and I found that when I started using lights and shadow, rather than the default settings, my pictures loked a lot better.
Keep it up!
Actually, I didn't work with textures. I just changed the colors in the surface tab. The textures are the same that came with the dragon. I was just exploring a little the surface tab and end up with a good result. But luck has his credits to on the dragon :P
I also worked lights and shadows... but while following the tutorials, it was a more dark ambient, so it was more easy to light up the parts I wanted. Here I tried a more sun shine ambient... But it was not easy... Some parts are really "burn".
But it's ok. It's just a start :) Not really really satisfied, but had lots of fun and learning.
I will keep it up. :) Thank you
