Learning Carrara Pro - Importing Figures

Today I tried opening the Genesis figure in Carrara Pro. I tried the cr2 file. It didn't open. I tried the duf file. It didn't open.

On a hunch I opened the cr2 file in Poser. Poser first gave me a message saying "calculating, creating..." or words to that effect. Then, it opened the file.

I saved the result as a cr2, then opened this file in Carrara Pro. This time Carrara opened it right up, no problem. Well, there was one little problem. Mimic was unable to lipsync the figure. Everything else was OK.

I suspect I have come upon something fundamental here, but I'm not sure what. :long: Can you tell me what happened?
