Here is my first entry on the new forum.

While this isn't quite up to Dad's level, this is my biggest, most detailed project to date. It is even bigger than my March 2010 entry. There are 11 Genesis figures in this scene, 75 painstakingly positioned fence segments, 63 3D Sign letters, and much more. The totals listed by DS4 are 1406 Nodes, 15 lights, and almost 5,000,000 faces.

There are no "paid for" items in this scene.

There are 64 visible custom made items of my own in this scene, all part of the marquee. This item will likely be donated to a future freebie challenge as an entry gift. As there are several pieces of this turned off I will describe it. The item is made up of the main piece, with several material zone on the outside. This allows for separate materials for the area below, in front, back, and above the text boxes on each side. For instance, the area below can be a concrete material, and above can be cut stone. I have modeled 4 sizes of 3D letters (A-Z 0-9 and . ) with "tabs" or "pins" for placing in the text box, as well as 3D letters with "metal" supports for placing on the top (as shown in the one I posted in the old thread). Dad is creating "neon" letters for me to put on top, however those were not ready for use in this scene. Also, the text box has a glass front, lit side panels (seen in this render), and the back panel of the recessed text boxes can be textured to look like a modern "LED" sign.

As this is a night-time scene, many items may be difficult to see. I have the items I wish to be counted toward the minimum freebie count listed in RED. The rest are there for reference in case someone wants to use them. Since the new forum software is currently limited to 800x800, I have scaled the image to 800x600 and have posted the full size 1024x768 to my gallery at Full SIze Render To see all of the detail you will need to zoom in on the full sized version. There is quite a lot of detail missing in the scrunched up version.

Let me see if I can get this straight.

This is about a render challenge to produce an image with eight freebies minimum, maximum of five purchased items, and that the theme is "Feel the Romance"

Just curious, are they to be uploaded to this thread?

    Alright! We'ze back.

Hey all...just a note...Phillip Phillips has won and is the new 2012 American Idol! He is from the town I have my clinic in here. When he won, the cheer was soooo loud, you could actually hear it in the air here.

CONGRATULATIONS DOUBLE "P". (his nick name here.)

Next month will be the annual "Summer Fun and Pinups" theme. We will also be playing the annual "Bag the Hag" mini contest, which is way too fun!

Just thought I would post a peek at one of next months prizes I made. This is an Adobe Farmhouse complete with shed, straw bales, corral and hitches. The terraine is not included, not mine. The doors open and close and the room can be filled with whatever you like. Just add people and animals.

I am taking donations for prizes now, so anyone who wants to give, just pm me with the info. The prizes for the Bag the Hag mini contest will be seperate from the main contest. As usual, someone will be getting "TheRock" prize at random. I think it was Dleelaw that built an entire family from the one he got...lol. It "rocks!".

    More to come.

Yes, you got it. You have to provide working links to the freebies. Attach the rendered image to the post using the Browse button bellow the edit area. The full rules for the challenge can be found in a stickied thread. Individual hosts may add to these for a purpose, they are the general rules. Have fun! That's a rule, even if it's unspoken.

Awww Jeeperz. You are no trouble at all, you just call it like you see it. A very honest approach. Some could learn from that. I missed you personally. I just love your spunk! No harm done.

Jeeperz, I totally agree with Music I was a bit stressed out last month, and as you now all seen the problems we are still having you can possibly imagine what it nas been like for us for a while now.

One problem that is going to keep coming up for a while, until they get the glitch fixed, is tha t Images are not autoresizing, so please can you only post images that are a mzximum of 800 pixels in width, so that they don't break the forum formatting.

Dollygirl please can you resize your image and repost it. Pretty please. Thankyou.
