Can You Delete Files in Install Manager Download Folder

This folder: C:\Users\Public\Documents\DAZ 3D\InstallManager\Downloads. I am noticing files going into this folder when I install products with the DIM. Can these files be deleted once installed? I would assume yes, they are XML and ZIP files, just need confirmation. Thanks

Yes they can. Once I have installed and catagories them in DS I back them up to an external drive (my perference not necessary) and then delete them from that folder - which is on my SSD drive.
First of all, don't delete the XML files. Those let DIM keep track of which content you've downloaded, and allows DIM to let you know when there's an update that needs to be installed.
Also, there's a tickbox in DIM to "delete after install" automatically. This prevents your downloaded installers clogging up whichever drive you've set the downloads to go to. I think you get at it by clicking on the cogwheel icon in DIM, then look at the bottom of the window.
The Manifest folder is what tells DIM what has been downloaded, installed, in need of update.
The Manifests folder is for isntalled content - checking downloaded, but not installed, content is done using the (different) manifest files in the Package Archive folder.
I am confused. There is a lot of space being used by the files in the Download folder. My drive is near full, and I would like to delete them. I do not have XML files, only DSX and ZIP.
Is it safe to delete them all?
By safe I mean: Get to the state I would have been in if the tickbox in DIM to "delete after install" were unticked?
Is there a way in Install Manager to delete them, or only the tickbox in DIM to "delete after install" at the time you install?
Thanks.
You can delete the zip files.
To answer my own question, I went ahead and deleted them. It doesn't seem to have caused any problems either in Install Manager or DAZ Studio.
