What is wrong with my shadow?

edited December 1969 in New Users

I'm trying to render with raytraced shadow,

I've attached two pictures, the first one with the raytrace shadow applied and shadow softness 22% and 0% shadow bias
and the other one is just a render without any shadows

if you look close enough in the first one you'll see shadow fuzziness, i want to know how to make a clean shadow

additional information, the light i used is distant light with nothing between the model and the light, the light intensity 100% and and DOF enabled on the camera the model is genesis female.

What are your render settings? The softer the shadows, the more demanding they are of higher samples.

To my eyes I see Uber Enviro lighting. That needs the SAMPLES (Quality Settings) Raised to remove the fuzz.

you set shadow softness to 22% and want crisper shadows, turn softness down then. :)

Unless you mean the grain, then yes Render Settings is your key or what Jaderial said.
