Thus far I have never (to my knowledge) actually broken any bones, though there have been some painful episodes, so you have my sympathy for the fingers!
I have an idea for this month's adjective and I just need to track down the content I need and get on and do it! :)
Broken bones are no fun, let me tell you. I broke my left collar bone when I was six, and just recently recovered from a broken shoulder (I broke my left shoulder back in April, and I'm left handed). I lost 15% range of motion in it as a result. Not fun.

The worst (longest affecting) has been bruised (probably) ribs, after keeping wicket in a cricket game and landing on my elbow (which jammed into the side of my chest). It was fine at the time, but the next morning I think I scared the birds out of the trees within a 5 mile radius when I sat up in bed ... ;)
I've also had 'issues' with fingers (I managed to stab the point of a pair of compasses into a finger many years ago and for about 2 days I could not bend the fingers). I still have the scar (from 40 years ago) across the bottom joint of my right middle finger from an 'accident' at a high school open day in the physics lab. I was tanding on a rickety turntable to demonstrate conservation of rotational momentum (think figure skaters spinning, going faster when they bring their arms in close to the body). Toaccentuate the effect I was holding 2kg weights in each hand. All was fine until someone gave me a shove to the shoulder from behind. Somehow I managed to have my feet spin whilst my upper body stayed where it was, ending up with me going horizintal. Then I went down when gravity realised what was going on. I dropped one weight, but not the other, so the edge of the weight slammed into my finger as my hand hit the floor. Big ouch! ;)

Eat garlic and limburger cheese sandwiches? ;)

(I have NO idea what limburger cheese is, but it was quoted in a Mad cartoon many years ago as a way to annoy dentists!)

according to wikipedia Limburger is a cheese that originated during the 19th century in the historical Duchy of Limburg, which is now divided among modern-day Belgium, Germany, and Netherlands. The cheese is especially known for its pungent odor caused by the bacteria Brevibacterium linens, which is partially responsible for body odor and particularly smelly feet.

doesn't really sound too good. :coolsmirk:

I suspected it was something like that, both from the context and the actual cartoon (by Don Martin, if memory serves) :)

To bad phones do not have a way to transfer scent...it might be the perfect solution for telemarketers.
