About Victoria 6 -confused-

I know there is a product description of Victoria 6 on the shop. But, that description makes me more confused, too technical.
Can someone explain it to me, if Victoria 6 will be compatible with any Victoria 4.2 products like hair, morph, clothing, and props?

If it yes, do I need additional products to make it works with any Victoria 4.2 products?
What are the advantage of Victoria 6 compared to Victoria 4? I see so few product support Victoria 6. Is it worth it?

Thank you

Victoria 6 is not a new figure, and is simply a morph and texture set for the Genesis 2 Female figure. The same is true for Michael 6, which is a morph and texture for the recently released Genesis 2 Male. The reason you're not seeing much 'support' is probably because you're looking specifically for items which require Victoria 6 rather than those which require Genesis 2.

Genesis 2 Female is compatible with most of the older Genesis items through Daz's autofit and can be made compatible with V4 clothes and skin with the Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female pack by MallenLane. Incidentally, items are also compatible between the Genesis 2 sexes, so I'll simply refer to 'Genesis 2' from here on.

Genesis 2 is based on weight mapping technology, similar to Genesis, which makes it far more powerful and malleable than the older Gen 4 figures. While V4 can't be morphed to great extremes, Genesis and Genesis 2 can which makes them very ideal for creating new characters since you can blend in the qualities you need from any existing character.

Not everything is fully compatible though. Hair for Victoria 4 hasn't aged well, since many are simply a static prop which is parented to the head. This means you may have to manually position and parent it yourself, though it will still work fine otherwise. Some dresses may still receive a little creasing in places, though MallenLane's clone does a great job with most of them, and handheld props unintended for the figure will have to be manually positioned most of the time due to the differences in figure shape.

For the most part though, they're very backwards compatible.

Thank you for your answer HeraldOfFire, now if I get this right, Victoria 6 is a custom morph that will work with products of Genesis 1, Genesis 2, and Victoria 4 (with Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female pack by MallenLane). But, this leads me to more specific questions:

Some product like this http://www.daz3d.com/actual-eyes-2 won't work with Genesis 2, instead I should use one like this http://www.daz3d.com/look-at-me-eyes-2d, which offer support for Genesis, is this true ?

-Say if I want to purchase Victoria 6, do I need to purchase Genesis 2 female body and head morph too ? I've seen some product like this one https://www.daz3d.com/nyssa which need additional morph ?

-Do I need critical fix like this http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=94928 for Genesis 2 or
Victoria 6 (if there any) ?
I wrote "need" there because, Victoria 4 without that fix is a complete nightmare...

Sorry if I got so many questions, I'm still new to Genesis, and I fear to make mistakes which will cost me great deal just because ignoring all of these details.

EDITED by MOD to fix Links.

The Genesis 2 Female figure (V6) could use Actual Eyes right out of the box as the missing Eye layer has been put back in the MESH.
To use the Nyssa character shape FULLY you would need the extra morphs listed. But all except the missing morphs will still load. How close that would be to the Full Figure will depend on how much of those morphs are used. The rest of the set would still work, the textures, make up and such.
The Genesis 2 Female mesh (V6) is the top end version of all DAZ Studio figures. The FIXES needed for the V4 type meshes are not really needed as that is mostly built into them (G2 meshes) now. Extra shaping morphs like Zev0's sets are not needed but will give you better control of your figure.

NOTE: I fixed your Links, Do not Quote them and they are HOT links in your post as you can see.

Thank you Jaderail, sorry about the link, I'll remove the quotes.
Glad to hear that we don't need for the fix anymore, makes posing easier.

Guess I'll need to start saving a big time now. I just can't resist that Genesis 2 (V6) dream shape especially with complete Zev0's set.

I Agree, I find the G2F and V6 both very useful. Now with G2M and M6 we have it all. Genesis for those easy monsters it does so well, G2F for those really good damsels in Distress, and G2M for the really good Hero to the rescue. I'm very busy setting up figures for my work.

I'm still hanging around with V4 for the meanwhile, until I can purchase whole G2F & V6 package, I feel like it's not complete without the extra morphs and shapes.

Nod Nod, I still use all my Gen4 figures. They will never go away, they just might not STAR as often anymore.

Yes, V4 might be still the most common figure nowadays, hmm wait a minute, is it just me or many products for G2 still way bit overpriced?

Not just for you! There's some new HD technology stuff which is great if one's system can handle it but yes, getting out of the hobby price range.

Yup, already saw that one, great product, but I don't think I'll buy that for the time being, my PC can't handle it.

Thank you to DAZ for the "Last Chance of Black November & Cyber Monday" discount !
Now I've purchased my V6 alongside some of G2F products with 50% discount, well spent ^^

Thanks for the information. I tried to open Victoria 6 in DAZ Studio without Genesis 2 installed on my new PC. I had no idea the Victoria 6 was simply a morph package. Victoria 6 opened when I double clicked in the Content manager as a block figure. Hopefully after I install the Genesis package, all will be well.

You need Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials for V6 it's free and should list in your My Products as Genesis 2 Starter Essentals. That should list both the Female and Male sets. There are 3 genesis packages.
