You need to tell us what the error message is, and what figure you are trying to load. Did you also install Genesis Starter Essentials, Genesis 2 Female Essentials and Genesis 2 Male Essentials?
To see previous error messages, go to Help > Troubleshooting > View Log File, and you should find them there at the very bottom.
Don't forget the Lights & Shaders installer. All the free starter content used to be in the Starter Essentials, but with the release of Genesis 2 it was split up into four batches — if you don't install all four, you will have problems.
All packages are installed and heres the log file error message.

Unfortunately the logfile doesn't really tell much, other than suggesting that you might have tried starting Daz Studio by clicking on a datafile instead of starting it using the main icon. Not sure here; but the "file not found" error is a bit peculiar.
I'd like to ask to provide a little more information which might help here: which platform are you using? DS4 is provided for both Windows and Apple and I could imagine that there might be a difference here. Also; have you made sure that your computer environment meets the Required specifications to run Daz Studio?
You mentioned that you downloaded and installed Daz Studio; how exactly did you do that? Now, this may sound a bit silly at first, but there are two ways to install Daz Studio. The first, easiest, way is to download the so called Daz Install Manager. This program can automatically download and install all the contents you need. It will even make it easier go add contents if you ever decide to buy extra through the webshop.
The other option is to download the individual packages yourself. I hope you see what I'm getting at; if you used the install manager then it's much more unlikely that you could have missed something than if you did this all of this manually.
Finally; is there any chance to show us the error message you're getting, by making a screenshot for example?
In Windows all you'd need to do is press printscreen, then go to an image program (personally I'm a big fan of the freely available IrfanView) and then simply press shift-insert or control-v (or use the edit menu and select paste) to add the picture. This can then be saved to your harddisk after which you could upload it in the thread here.
Hope this can give you some ideas (and us some extra information ;)).
Yeah i used the install manager,my pc exceeds the recommendations and my graphics card is supported.
Here the screens you requested.
Look at the DIM screen, you have a "1" in the "Ready to Install" tab. Have a look at that, it might be the one file you need that for some reason wasn't installed with the others. Everything else in DIM seems to be OK, at least I don't see anything obviously missing.
Thats the Photoshop bridge which wont install because i dont have photoshop and its also not needed for the program to run.
Well it looks like DAZ Studio opened. It also looks like your trying to use a pose, they only pose a figure once they are loaded onto a figure like Genesis. Can I see your paths in DAZ Studio Prefs like this?
Here's the screen of my directory.
Well that's all right. Can you load the Genesis figure? Will be in the People folder.
It almost looks to me as if there is something amiss in your content database. I assume you dragged your contents in using the smart content tab (or one which uses this technique).
Try going to the Windows menu, select 'Panes' and then "content library".
Now select "DAZ Studio Formats -> My DAZ 3D Library -> People -> Genesis". It should only list 1 entry, see the screenshot. Can you drag this in without an error?
YES! For some reason it lets me bring in models. Why does it work this way but not straight out the main screen?
What do you mean by straight out of the main screen? You have to have a figure loaded and selected before you can apply a pose.
Well i mean have to go through the content library and the panes tab. It makes it that much more difficult to traverse and find what i need. And from the tutorials that i saw users don't do it this way, its much more easier than what i had to just load up a simple model.
Does Smart Content Tab have anything in it? If Smart Content is not working that is a issue. But as pointed out a POSE file is only the POSE, it is not the full scene. It will not load the figure or clothing for you. You must load a Figure, then put a pose on it, then you put clothing on it ect.. this program does not do it for you. There are steps to doing it all. Maybe you should read the free DAZ Studio Manual.
If you open the Smart Content pane and click Figures on the left you should see a list of all available figures (if nothing is selected in the scene). You can load one by double-clicking then use the presets tabs in the Posing, Shaping or Materials panes or the other categories in Smart Content to modify the figure.
You MUST load a model first, before you can apply poses as Richard has said.
If you look at the screenshot that you posted, the icons are clearly marked 'Pose'. In order to use these poses, you MUST have a figure to apply them to already loaded into the scene, that is the only way it can work, and nobody does it any differently.
Once you have a figure loaded, posed and clothed, you can then save that as a Scene (.DUF) from File > Save As > Scene (or Scene Subset), and load it again and again.
You were trying to apply a pose with no figure loaded, and that will never work, and never has done in any version of DAZ Studio.
The smart content tab isnt working.
Just to add a little extra: if you load a pose without having a figure selected then you'll get the exact error message as you provided in the first screen. So I think the others are drawing the right conclusion here.
First you need a figure (or actor as I like to call it), then you can apply changes to it (such as a pose, different skin (material) and add clothing to it.
Now, the thing is; if you've been experimenting then I can see where the confusing might have come from. Because although clothing is also something which you might associate with an actor it's actually an individual component which can be "linked" to said actor (not using the official terms here). As such you can individually load clothes (or 'wardrobe files'). Same applies, to some extend anyway, to the hair.
But when we're talking about specific "linked" objects, poses and materials as well for example, you'll encounter the same issue. You cannot load a material file (say a skin texture) without having selected an object to apply it to.
Hope we managed to solve your possible source of confusion here.
Ok, just to rule everything out...
You start Daz Studio, you go to the "Smart Content" tab, you click "Figures" and then try to drag in (or double click) one of the figures. That gives you the same error message as you've shown before?
If that is the case then there is a quick way to solve this.
You can right click on the smart content tab, select "content DB maintenance" and then use the option "re-import meta data". If the above example scenario holds true then you might also benefit from selecting the option "Reset database" to make sure that you start with a clean slate.
Before doing that you should check a few things first though.
If you right click the "content library" tab select "content directory manager". Make sure that you see the right directories listed under "DAZ studio formats" and "Poser formats".
Also make sure that the so called "DAZ Content Management Service" is running. On Windows the easiest way to do so (IMO) is to start a dos prompt (by hitting Win-R then typing in cmd) then use the sc command: "sc query dazcontentmanagementservice" (see screenshot). Type "exit" to quit (or click the X button).
Hope this can help.

Thansk for your help but for some reason now i see nothing/no content displayed on the smart tab anymore?
If you followed the procedure to re-import the meta-data and also reset the database then this scenario can only mean two things. Either the DCMS service isn't running (see my previous message) or more likely: the two directories which I described earlier (in the Content Directory Manager, under 'DAZ studio formats' and 'Poser formats') do not point to the right location.
Start the DAZ install manager, click the 'cog' icon in the upper right corner, then select the "Installation" tab (see screenshot). On my end it lists 2 directories, ignore that, on your end it should list a single directory entry.
Now, check the Content Directory Manager in Daz Studio; you should see the exact same directory name listed under both format headers.
My guess right now is that those two differ somehow.
