Can I convert my V4 and M4 characters and content to Gen 2, V6 and M6 Versions?
Hello friends.
I'm still pretty new to all this.
I'm using Poser. I bought it a few years ago, along with V4 and M4.
Just recently, (over the last few months) I decided to dig into the software I bought, and start using and learning Poser.
My question is, I've bought lots of clothing and props for my characters, as well, I've spent a lot of time purchasing morph packages, such as Morphs++, Muscle, etc, and characters, and using their morph dials on their bodies and faces to get them how I'd like them to be, so can I still use those on the newer Gen 2 / "6" versions?
I've used several morph head injection combinations made for V4 and M4 to get the base of their faces the way I'd like. Will those characters still work as well?
And, if I can use these morph packages, characters, can I somehow transfer the dial values over, so I don't have to reset them all again?
As far as clothing goes, I've seen something about some kind of "autofit" option, will that work in Poser as well? Or is it Daz only?
Thanks for letting me know as I'd like to purchase these and will do so if it's possible.

AutoFit is DS only, though you can use DS to convert and then save as an asset for use in Poser (with the DSON Importer). That will convert fourth generation clothing to Genesis 1, and Genesis 1 to Genesis 2, out of the box and it will also handle third generation clothing with the addition of the Classic shapes for the third generation figures.
Fourth generation textures will work on Genesis out of the box, though in Poser you may need Mec4D';s free scripts for switching UV sets if they don't have .duf settings with Poser Companion Files.
Morphs for the fourth, and with an expansion and the classic shapes the third, genration figures can be converted with genX but that's a DAZ Studio plugin. Converted morphs can be used in Poser.
Thanks Richard.
Sounds like there's still so much for me to learn. But thanks for taking the time to respond and answer each question as I was asking them.
