Difference between 32 and 64 bit

My computer is running windows 7 and is a 64 bit system. I know Daz seems to come in both 64 and 32 bit versions, and was wondering if I should install both or just one. If I have the 64 bit system, would files made for 32 bit systems still work on it?

Sorry if that's a stupid question. I'm new to this.

I have windows 7...64bit and the one you want is Daz64bit.....and yes you can run 32bit stuff ...like Bryce is 32bit and it would work on you system as it does on mine and no you can not install both daz programs so if I were you I would get the 64bit I hope this helps you...Trish

You CAN have both 32-bit and 64-bit installed -- in DS3 a lot of people did this, as Dynamic Clothing only worked in 32-bit. If you do, they share settings and content folders. Not much call for it with DS4 -- I think lipsync is the only plugin that's 32-bit only.
