Yeah, I'm hoping folks aren't looking at the "only 30% off" but instead look at the price. For an ENTIRE HOUSE it's only slightly above 24.00   What I'm not sure of is what comes on the outside. I see an autumn tree listed and clump of grass. @kindredarts can you elaborate?

Looks to me like the tree, sidewalk and driveways, instances of tall grasses/weeds, and a background tree billboard (based on last promo).

ETA: Just loaded it up and that's what is there. A quick render:

The Harwood house is cool and wishlisted, but with zevo's transfer utility and a few other things I want coming up, I'm trying to nurse my store credit along to next weekend when my credit card resets *g*

@rgcincy  thanks for showing it. Looks really nice!

Richard pretty much summed it up here - the exterior is mostly grass, a tree, a path to the front door and a driveway. There is also some yard area around back. Also i should note, there is a "dry" ground material for the exterior paving. I'm not sure if there was a technical issue with the store yesterday, but hopefully everyone can see the set now. Thanks to everyone who picked it up! smiley

I can't afford it but I like the Harwood House too. Can you turn on & off the round attic window? It's the sort of giant old rundown farm houses we lived in for a while as kids. And was it ever wild. We'd have chipmunks coming in & out the living room, bats upstairs, and crows & chimney swifts would even get in the house from time to time.It was a barrel of laughs but always a surprise to find a new critter taking up residence with you.

For those of you in the West, Midwest, moving East- who are encountering that storm/going to be in it- drive safe!

Been playing with PD Howler a little, so far I can say that its ok.  I still prefer Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro.  I haven't learned just a whole lot about it yet but its got some interesting features and filters but im sure most of them are available for, if not in Photoshop.  The biggest downfall that I see right off is that the layers do not work like they do in the other photo apps. I could not even figure out how to use them really; I had to save out what I did and layer them in Paintshop.

@nonesuch00  I played for just a minute but I did not see any way to turn off the attic window. Quick render, I really need to go to bed!  It's almost 2am....  I work 3-4 days in a row, 12 hour shifts so no play time during that time. I think I have withdraws!  Lol   Also just got a peek at the new gal Robyn, hate to say it but im not impressed with most of it but those blue eyes are stunning!  But I dont think its enough to get me to buy. Maybe after people post some renders I will change my mind....

Someone forgot to turn off the lights!!

As I mentioned in the Robyn 8 thread just now- did you notice none of the vendors bothered making characters for her in the Add-Ons? This is the first time I can remember that we didn't have ANY additional characters. Usually there's three or more!

I think Robyn is so similar to other gals I own, I'm passing, even though down to 33.00 or so and using my 6.00 PC+ I could get the Pro Bundle for around 27.00, there's nothing in there that appeals to me.

BTW Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you spend the day exactly as you want to!  I'm headed over to Mom's for the afternoon.

Last night we put Pemberton in the birdroom. His big cage arrived the day before, and we wanted him in it at least a day away from the other birds. Then after a few hours, we let him out and put him on the center table on his tabletop playpen that he'd gotten to know. After five minutes, he flew over to the top of his cage where Moutuihe and Tokelau were, and they all just looked at each other. The Kakariki started running back and forth like Kaks do, but running over Pemberton's long tail. He didn't even blink!  Regent Parrots really live up to their reputation of being great with other birds. If you recall, Moutuihe and Tokelau often pick on Takutea, so I got the Regent Parrot as he's bigger, to be a bodyguard/buddy for Takutea. Well, it was so cute, Pem got off the cage top and went to the right and got on the playpen with Taku! They sat side by side for quite awhile. I think this is definitely going to work out. :)

This will give you a good size idea. The Kakariki is 60 grams, the Regent Parrot is 145 - 160 grams. Pem is 150. In the first photo, Tokelau is wet from a bath, that's why he looks so dark.

Look at that TAIL. If you look carefully to your right, you can see that dark blob at the first bowl on the playpen. That's Takutea eating. Pem climbed down the hanging toy and joined Takutea on that perch. Not much room for both of them, so they were really close together.

If you don't want to spend money, you're gonna hate me. Just got told about Humble Bundle's 2d animation bundle. It includes Crazy Talk Animator 3 ($179) and of course, you get tons of stuff for that $25 or more price. I have the 2 but not the 3, but I haven't even used the one I have. It's $643 worth of animation tools, so heads up! (And available the next 19 days.)  I'll probably get it for no other reason than that 3 version. (Thanks a LOT Charlie!)

Good thing I'm not into animation!

But I do like my digital kitties and there are two more free LAMH presets for the other housecat over at another site, along with a new set of textures, (not free.) that work with both their big and small cats.

@Novica, Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.

Pemberton is a real beauty! (I'm looking forward to the videos you'll be posting with him interacting with the Kakariki.)

Those sales end after a set number of bundles are sold so that one is closed even though it's not yet the time allotted. I have Moho Pro 13+ and Unity Personal Free is also very generous with 2D animation tools so I'm set in that regards.

I'd like to know what's in that water too - looks like he's got three legs?

What do these regents cost?  And are the easy to breed?

  • NovicaNovica Posts: 23,887

LOL yep, it looks that way!  Regents go from 700 to 1400 and live 25-30 years. They're fairly easy to breed if you have a large aviary, but finding a male and female that aren't related so you can breed is the difficult aspect.

For you folks that have Roku, BestBuy has a great deal on a Sharp tv, 24"   I got it so I could take it in the bird room. It is so awesome to be able to just pick it up and plop it down and no roku box required. Comes with the controller and the image is really nice. It's only 720p resolution but on these smaller screens, 1080 is just wasted. I compared it with the 1080 right next to it and was like, "Nah. Not worth 200.00 more."  This one is 70.00 OFF so 100.00  and it's a Smart HDTV and it's so neat not to have a Roku box!

So what are you shopping for this Black Friday?  (I went to Best Buy at 7pm  after I left Mom's last night. They opened at 5pm and I felt sorry for their employees having to be there at 4pm. If stores are going to open, 7pm would still let the employees have the day.)

I'm hoping for a special on Viki Plus Pass. They usually offer it around now or Cyber Monday. We'll see if it happens.

I ordered, yesterday evening, the next 2 parts of the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 64GB / AMD Radeon RX 570 8GB desktop I'm building and just in time to.

    a) ordered 2TB Seagate external USB 3.0 HD at $54. Today it is $75!

    b) ordered MSI Radeon RX 570 8GB MKM2 OC GPU at $134. Today it is $160!

    c) The CPU has to wait til January but is currently in stock at $194. It has stayed steady in price & supply all of November so I don't expect a problem.

    d) The 2TB intel M.2 NVMe 660p SSD is currently cheap as it's been all month at $184 but I am not buying that til February. It's a popular item and several sellers have sold out in November of that product. It's ranged from $184 all the way up to $220 in November. This product is the only of it's type priced so cheaply that I've found. It could be a problem in February regarding price or availability. If so I will just switch to a 2TB Sata III 6GB/s 2.5 SSD instead. I'll loose r/w speed but it's still very acceptably compared to HDDs.

Black Friday sales are definitely very limited as to what gets the mega discounts that those sales are famous for.

Interesting, I hadn't heard of Viki so I looked it up. Focus is on Asian television and movies, from what I can tell. It looks interesting, but I am having trouble finding time to watch just CBS    LOL

I haven't had time to surf the forums so this many have been mentioned. If not....

Hope you got the banner for 30% off (or whatever off) and are applying it to the already 50% off PC+ Membership (35.00) so you get the membership at 65% off. It's only 24.50

But wait. Buy a gift card first for 30% off  (Cost you 17.15) so saving roughly 7.00, then on the next order, buy the membership. With that 7.00 saved, you're only paying 17.50 for the membership!  (That's 75 percent off.)

And yes, you can do it over and over and over again.   (The membership and the gift card, but of course you'd just get a larger gift card so you don't have to do that part of it.)  I did three years, mine was running out in January. Great timing!

What are you folks buying? I'm sticking to utilities due to focusing my budget on memberships instead of products. And reminder- use your PC+ codes before they expire!

    After Rain     After Rain 2

Off Camera Shadows (will really make your scene look more realistic, casting shadows from things out of the camera)

Daz Studio 4  Scene Tools Set 1  (the ability to hide all hair, all whatever. No more clicking through the Scene pane!)

    RSSY Ultimate Clothing Fixer

Thanks. I plan on teaching myself some openCL/openGL language I hope.

I hope you enjoy your TV. That's what I'm planning on buying next Black Friday 2020! My birds will watch TV and will let me know when they're ready to have it turned off. Your birds should enjoy it.

Korean TV series ( AKA kdramas) run 16-20 episodes and tell one extended story. They are far and above better than American television series, imo. The good ones, of which there are many, are more like reading a book by a really talented author with great storylines, metathemes, etc. Not to mention, they normally leave out the violence and raunch factor that has become the norm in American series. I'd rather have good stories. So I'll stick with the BBC and Viki.

Well, what I'm currently engaged in- went to the main page "Shop" and selected Daz Originals for the vendor. Using the Daz Originals PC+ coupon, I can pick NEW DO's and they're 50% off, so taking $6 off one of those. The problem is, they're really cheap due to the additional 30% off so I'll have to pick the most expensive one that makes sense to knock off 6.00.   Here's some of the DO's I don't have yet  that I'm buying. One may be the 6.00 off but will have to be a separate order (can't use the banner code and PC+ code at the same time.)

    • Saya HD Character And Hair for Genesis 8 Female

Saya HD Character And Hair for Genesis 8 Female             Great price for character and hair. Nice short style.   This one came out of the cart and I used the PC+ code instead. She's already 65% off so  9.44. Minus 6.00 she'll be 3.44 which is cheaper than using the banner and paying 6.60.  (She was 87% off when I did that.)

      $26.96       $6.60      76%
