Same here with limiting purchases because of hurricane season. Plus I don't buy a lot of models anyway.

Additional note. Looking at high catagory 2 or low catagory 3 hurricane (Dorian) coming in Thursday night and Friday. So, will probably be offline for a few days after that.
I am sitting it out as well. I had to replace the AC, heating unit, and duct work in my house this summer and am now wading through a half dozen visits for major dental work. I have wishlisted a few things, but nothing has made me say, "I have to have that now!" I did spend $18 this weekend and then received the $17 store credit. I feel that last year's PC+ celebration followed by the December sales were quite nice and am ok with waiting until they come around again.
As for my last three females. Mabel 8 (Coupon, she didn't cost me a cent.) Before that, a couple of Sabby's on Rendo, for the youthful skins. I work with elementary students and needed some that are more appropriate. I already have enough adult females from DAZ to last me at least 5 lifetimes and still wouldn't use them all.
Here's a good article on how Dorian affected Florida, with some videos of the surf and photos of beach erosion. Also statistics on loss of power. We sure got lucky!

Came across Muelsfell Modular Path Set which I hadn't tried. I loaded up the default scene Muelsfell Path Back to Hagswood !Promo Scene and started the render. It was going well over nine hours and seemed to have got stuck at 67%. I stopped it and did a few changes that I do on a scene when that happens and added one of my HDR images I made in Bryce, I was only using sun and sky set to night before.
The result speaks for itself :)

As pointed out in the sales thread in commons, there is an outfit texture that doesn't have the outfit. You have to decide (IF you got the banner) if you want to scoop it up before they possibly remove it (maybe it was posted early, too soon) or wait until the outfit is possibly added. Since I have the 20% extra off due to owning 10 or more Pro Bundles, I went ahead and checked out. I figure I can always get the outfit later. It's the dForce Boho Days Outfit Textures. It goes to 72% off.
BTW I am still wading through Genesis 8 Females to pick some of my favorites, I've decided to just do the first 10 pages of my Product Library. Still wading through. I have waaaaay too many pages of Product Library when I type in Genesis 8, so I'm getting clothes and characters, both male and female, and poses.
No one else has an image of Ginevra? Okay, here she is, loaded straight from the character menue, and unmodified except for a slightly asymetric smile (I added a little 'Side to side' morph).

A high school mate's husband is being sent to Florida by the electric company he works for. Ha! I told her he can't drive to the Bahamas from here!
Oh and I remember being at the Jacksonville Beach pier as a boy and some surfer lost his surfboard which promptly hit me in the side when the wave brought it crashing into me. It hurt, but I politely lied to the surfer and told him it didn't hurt.
I used to try & collect limpets from the pier pilings and was horrified to find out I drowned a minnow sized fish I caught in a styrofoam coffee cup I filled with ocean water within 3 minutes of catching it. The Duval County beaches are known to have decent waves and are good for finding fossilized shark teeth, particularly Ponte Vedra Beach and Hannah Park. I found a fossil shark's tooth the size of my hand in fact at Hannah Park on a Woodland Acres Church of Nazarene field trip in Summer of 75 that was as big as my hand. Of course then I was only 11 so my hand was smaller (and apologies to those that have heard this story before). I'm still embarrassed I didn't give it to the mother who was chaperoning us at the beach. She deserved it watching after all of us kids at that beach. 
I need your adivce my dear friends :) For the last few months I've been playing with the thought of starting a Art Thread here (the one I once had was years ago, and should hopefully be locked by now ;P ), though despite having been juggling the thoguths back and forth I just can't make up my mind about it... so, what should I do you think? Should I start a thread here in the Art Forum or should I skip it?

I'm losing my mind with the heat today, it's going to be 110 heat index (105 by 10am today, which was an hour and a half ago!) This is silly, it's SEPTEMBER for heavens sake. Seems like we're going backward into summer! This broke the record for Pensacola for this date, of 97 degree heat index. Stetson was brought in by 10am, and I asked the barn owner to bring in Flash who gets brought in usually when Stetson does (I know that horse owner won't mind. She may not know about the heat index.)
I think you should, as I remember your other thread. Or revive that one. I don't think they lock them due to age. You can post your images whenever you like, take breaks when you like, putz around and have fun!
I agree with Novica. Your thread in the Art Studio is really for you, a great way to keep all your images—favorites, best work, or literally all—in one place. How much and how often you post is up to you. Just make sure it's working for you, not the other way around.
And it is live once more... it was rather interesting going through the thread and remembering all the fun, some bittersweet memories as well, and not to mention seeing how I have improved since the last time I posted in it (five years ago.. time sure fly away) I did put the link to the new "start" of it, if people wish to go through all of the happenings before they can choose to do so themselves :)
It's live, and lookin' really good. I'm glad you revived the original. The journey is interesting to see.

Okay, I went back through about 15 pages of Product Library, started looking for Genesis 8 gals I liked, then also tried to get a variety of vendors. Not all are represented of course. I just couldn't make my mind up on Mousso's so it was a "tie." Here's 11 of my favorites from those pages, all different vendors. Hopefully you'll notice someone you hadn't before and wishlist them. :)

India HD by @colmjackson The beginning of the eyebrows are straight across along the bottom, but there's hairs mixed in as it moves outward which gives it a natural look. Again, I changed the lip by adding metallicity, etc.

I widened her mouth slightly.
TIP: If you ever want to do that, remember to go to Parameters (the character) Posing>Head>Expressions and choose the Visemes. Undo the limits on the W (click the cog/gear) then go to the negatives on the W. It widens quite nicely without changing the expression. I've mentioned this before, but it's been awhile.
Sezaen by @darwinsmishap She has the longer eyebrows, spanning more horizontally. Since I rendered her, I noted she does not have different lip colors, unless I just overlooked that. Nor different regular eye shadow? However, the lips are a neutral color and it's easy to darken. Make sure to pick a yellow or pink for glossiness, I tend to avoid white.

Tempest Hair (G3/8F) dForce Casual Friday Outfit (G8F)
I have to say I was totally disappointed in Demure II poses by Skywolfe regarding Pose 6. I don't know who did the quality control testing on that but there's NO WAY it required "just a little tweaking" on a pose. The hip rotation put both legs really off the ground in her bent knee pose. Wasn't even CLOSE.
NOTE: The tongue and teeth were changed- the tongue was a bright pink and teeth were SNOW white, even with a pink overtone. The teeth base color was changed to a medium gray 174 / 180 / 182 and the tongue to 151 / 122 / 106 which is a dark taupe.

Note the abdominal area- the linear line of skin around the belly button indicating loose skin. Not a six pack ab gal.

Riviera Hair (Gen3/8F) dforce Corset Skirt Outfit (G8F) NOTE The textures are wrong in Content Library- they are NOT under Corset Skirt Outfit, they are separated and listed as Corset Skirt. I didn't even see them until I searched for Corset Skirt Outfit in the Product Library. and saw I owned the textures.
Her teeth were ultra bright, I went in to Surfaces and made the default color a gray-blue.
I didn't do anything to the outfit, it loaded just fine. (no d-forcing.)
Bellamie by @SpookieLilOne I know, rather different. Look at the gold body texture, gorgeous spattering. I'd reduce the mouth and use regular eyelash length, but I think she's unique.
Matilda HD by @emrys I like that she doesn't have a dainty nose, she looks like a typical gal.
Of those I think I like India HD for G8F the best although that could be only because the posing & lighting in that product's ad copy is really good and really unique compared to the other products. I think he is probably using his own lighting products that I'm now chomping at the bit to buy,
Finally had time to do a few renders of DE Elina...
The first one is a general impression. The second is her face out of the box. The third one I changed the lips, since the standard lips are on the plump side for someone of south Indian or Tamil ethnicity (which is what she looks like to me), as they generally have narrower lips and wider mouths than in the standard face here.
As dark as her skin is, she is of course difficult to light. I've used the Painter's Lights (no longer in the shop) and for the close-up fiddled with the exposure in the render settings.
Camera used is from IG Photographer's Toolbox 35 mm.
Well I'll be darned if I'm going to let another one of the (was three, now two) stray cats die within a week. I heard growling and snarling coming from the front porch an hour ago, and there was a (fairly friendly to be honest) pit bull lunging at Tux. Tux wasn't having any of it, spat several times and came forward, then the pit bull lunged with her face to Tux's side (no punctures, I'll jump ahead and tell you that, cat is FINE) and that's when I started clapping my hands and yelling at the dog. That distracted her a bit when Tux went to run up the porch tree. The dog jumped up and down, trying to get to her, but her ears were still up and I think it was somewhat playful.
Still screaming and clapping (and the dog's tail was still wagging, ears were up) I ran the dog out of the yard. She stopped and looked at me like "What did I do?" I ran for the hose as the dog started to come back into my yard and one look at that spewing water hose, she ran down the street and got into a red cadillac that was slowly cruising the street and that had stopped for her. Obviously, her dog.
Side note- Your best bet IMO to split up a dog and cat or dog and dog is always a water hose, IF you can get to it in time. Dogs hate that and you don't have to get close to them.
The owner was going to drive on by, not trying to escape, she actually gave me a friendly wave, but I wasn't having ANY of that. I waved her down.She got an earful and I told her that dog had better not EVER came in my yard again, I would call the sheriff, particularly if she came toward my porch. Hate that as the dog was friendly, all in all. Pit bulls get a bum rap. I told her the dog attacked my cat and she offered to pay all the vet bills, and I told her just make sure that dog didn't grace our neighborhood again or I'd report this incidence too, in addition to filing a complaint if I saw it in the general neighborhood. I could tell that dog just had puppies too. GREAT.
So I've been out to sit on the front porch with Tux, who finally relaxed and went to sleep. I'm going back out there awhile.
Oh sorry. The marauding dogs in my neighborhood have all apparently all been captured by animal control. They were getting to be more and more threatening. There has been a lot of dog attacks on people in the national news lately too so maybe that had something to do with their responsiveness. I spent the better part of a decade using water from the water hose to stop my mom's dog before it died so it wouldn't bite off the heads of turtles, lizards, and other creatures wandering the yard. I'd then catch the turtle, lizard, or whatever myself and drive them to my yard for refugee from the Jack Russell. Once it brought down a fawn. I was furious and sick to my stomach at that. Although I treated that dog well and it liked me I despised it because of it's meanness. I know that different breeds of dogs that are bred to do such different things and then do such things but ugh! I don't like it at all as it's generally not desirable traits that are needed in them anymore. However, I might get a Dalmatian one day as I've heard then are dumb as a rock and pure pets that don't cause trouble. Well, once I settle down & am sure I won't be traveling much I'll get a Dalmatian because I can't afford those dog hotels. i'll have to fob the dog off on my brother & his wife when I go on vacation.
Got the Aging Face Details HD for Genesis 3 and 8 Bundle yesterday and did a couple of very quick renders with G3F with Aging morphs and Aging face details (no other morphs except cornea bulge) with Rune 7 skin and G8F with Aging face details only (no other morphs except cornea bulge) with Charlotte 8 skin.
Great product, can be also used to add details (slight lines) to expressions on younger people. I also really like the one that adds details to the lips (which are sometimes too smooth to my taste). Will try to do the men tomorrow.

@ati For the rendering product, your forum links using the plug-in has a link to the bookmark product. How does that happen? It shouldn't link to another product (and it's even labeled that on the rendering product page for the forum link)

I almost didn't use the banner as I thought it was a repeat (the one where you own 10 Pro Bundles from a few days ago.) Thank goodness I opened it and looked at the code. It made things 60% off. (Again, sometimes it pays not to buy the day of release.)
