How to install these free models?
Found these free models and downloaded the zip files. They don't have any installation instructions and I'm used to using daz installer. Is there a handy guide on where to put the various unzipped files?

Here is a thread on how to install zips http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/27011/ but in most cases just point the zip to My Library and unzip
Thanks for the link and for preparing all those tutorials. Big help.
One question. If every model as it's own "data" file or "runtime" file, won't that result in scores of files by that name? I can copy the model's files, but when try to paste them, my mac tells me there's already a file by that name. Should I be opening those files up and,..for instance...copying everything in the model's "data" file to the "data" file already in Mylibrary/content?
Yes, on older MacOSX that don't allow merge, you need to copy the files folder by folder.
Incidentally, you shouldn't have a folder named "Content" underneath "My Library" if DS is set to look in "My Library".
A bit of clarification, which might help you and others in the same situation. You're not looking at /data/ and /runtime/ files, you're looking at /data/ and /runtime/ folders, which contain other folders (some with fixed names which the system must have in those places), which contain files. Sometimes there are lots of levels of folders. It's a bit too easy to get confused if you just call everything on your computer "a file".
What should be happening is the contents of the new /data/ and /runtime/ folders are moved to inside the existing /data/ and /runtime/ folders alongside the existing contents of those folders. So you should never end up with multiples of /data/ or /runtime/ by accident.
The problem is, this merging of new content into old content is easy in Windows, but has a massive pistol aimed at your foot in MacOSX — the folders do not merge, the new folders replace the old folders, so your entire content is demolished. There are ways round that, and I think the latest couple of OSX versions do make life easier with this problem. You'll have to wait until a Mac user comes into this thread, though, I haven't used a Mac in nearly fifteen years, and the OS has changed a lot.
(Whups, ninja'd while I was taking a bit of time to fix all my typos...)
Thanks. I'm geting the hang of this. I'm pasting the files in the data folder to the data folder in my library. Same for the runtime files. There is also a folder with each model called Dreamlight....the maker of these models...where do those files go. They are .daz and .png files. BTW these models came with Poser and Lightwave folders but I'm ignoring them as I am just working in Daz. Is that right, or do they serve some purpose in Daz?
Maybe not in this case (I think all Dreamlight's D|S products are entirely D|S files) but as you add more goodies to your collection watch out for mostly older stuff that has Poser-format object files and matching D|S materials files. There are also older (mostly) stuff that has only Poser files — D|S can read these files, but the materials might need varying amounts of gentle tweaking (or thumping with a large mallet) to look good in D|S. In these cases you will need to put the Poser files into the /Runtime/ folder. Anything for Lightwave can be ignored unless you have the deep pockets to afford the program, it's expen$$$ive.
