Atmospheric Lighting?

Is it possible to attain atmospheric lighting effects in Daz. By that I mean glowing light as though the room has some...atmosphere? Or is that something that would have to be done in another program like After Effects? I'd like to be in a dark room and have a door opened that fills the room with shafts of light. Thanks.

The Atmospheric Effects Cameras for DAZ Studio includes a volume camera that will do effects like that. You need to get the parameters adjusted correctly for your scene.

You might also be able to get that effect using Simple Godrays.

I have both of these. I have used the Volume camera, but I have not tried the Simple Godrays yet that was just released.

You can do that a lot of ways- even a point light outside the door would put light through the door, or even a spotlight that is close to the door and targeting the door entrance- but if you want the "beam" type approach, that new product just mentioned focuses on rays of lights apparently. There are a lot of lighting products for DAZ, you certainly don't have to use a different program :)
