DAZ to Facial Animation Pipeline from iDaz to Exchange and IClone 5
DAZ to Facial Animation Pipeline from iDaz to Exchange and IClone 5
I've been trying to transfer the Genesis 2 woman into exchange and the eyes don't transfer to display correctly. I checked their forum and they said to embed the files and convert but when I do they still don't display correctly. Theirs no material setting that will correct this.
Opacity - Spec and etc .......
I embed / convert to non standard and then convert and apply to iclone. Both the folder and FBX file are in the exchange folder and of course I didn't have any problem with the original characters eyes displaying correctly.
The only DAZ FBX Option I seen in Daz that wasn't on the tutrorial was the Sub D Information.
( Most figures supplied by DAZ or other sources are usually at a fairly high polygon count once they are released so using sub-d on them will probably not be a good idea, especially as it may cause memory problems due to the increased polygon count. )
Anybody else having this problem ?
Daz And Exchange Settings listed here - FBX import and etc ...

I am trying to figure out exactly what you mean?
most materials on imported stuff in 3DX has too much specular is that what you mean?
also some of the G2F shaders have SSS for studio, using another V5 UV mapped texture and a simple shader might help
I should of posted a photo of my results. The complaint is in the eye material and the way it displays. I can't even get the eyes to display correctly if I manually embed them. No matter what I do - this is my result -
try turning opacity down on corneas
-- Update - ------ I tried embedding the file in the Corena - It won't embed manually but I uploaded it and nothing changed. No material adjustment changed the appearance.
Eye materials are -
Eye Reflection - Pupils - Tear - Irises - Cornea - Eyelash - Sclera
Note - Pupils - Irises - Eyelashes ( Opacity ) Sclera - were the only ones with material files for the Genesis 2 Women Standard woman that came with Daz ----
And the eye files are
V5BreeEyes2M
V5BreeEyesM
V5BreeLashes2
They is no material for the Cornea. So should their be material files for the Cornea with the genesis two woman. That would make sense if I was missing material files of if I needed to embed the eye materials for the missing Cornea - Can you check and see which eye file I need to embed if that's the case. ( Genesis 2 woman - Daz -- 2M or M )
I'm just embedding the files as they load - I don't know of any other sequence for this procedure.
eye reflection, sorry my bad, on other figures it is often cornea
I put specular up high and opacity at zero
is in surfaces in 3dx can find using eye dropper on eye
as for embedding textures
I just tick the embed textures option exporting to iClone and set max size fairly low as Daz textures are far to big for iClone to handle well.
I don't have any eye reflection -
Note - Pupils - Irises - Eyelashes ( Opacity ) Sclera - were the only ones with material files for the Genesis 2 Women Standard woman that came with Daz——
Should I have these materials ? Some one else on the iclone board denoted the eyes don't display correctly and you have to embed those files for this character. G2 woman
I am not sure where you are looking but just click on genesis in your scene tree in 3dx5 the figure not the bones and under materials surfaces there is an eyedropper icon
select it use it on the eye surface whatever it is called
(I cannot check now my pc doing something)
and turn down the opacity
I had to adjust the spectacular - gloss and opacity in all three eye parts. - Thanks - You were right - it's was just an eye adjustment - lol
They kept telling me that at the IClone forum and if I hadn't slide the gloss over I may of never figured it out. lol
Your always a lot of help - thanks -
- I love these pipeline characters - Have a great weekend
