A valiant attempt to finagle the guns from Eldritch Seeker into the holsters from Sleuth Detective Outfit. It's very fiddly and annoying. The holsters are weirdly flat and the expand morphs don't help a whole lot. I really wish Eldritch Seeker had been updated for at least G3, then the holsters from it wouldn't warp so badly when autofitted.

*sigh* Ah the woes of rendering males and male products.

Atleast we have the men to look at... one got to try to find that silverlining :) looking real good (the whole thread I mean :) ) and that vest was interesting, though I'm not so sure it's a comfortable one but I might be wrong :)

Would anyone be interested in these? The bookcases, desk and chair.

Certainly! The darker bookcase, desk and chair would work for any more modern scene, and the lighter one would work for modern and older ones. (It would look really interesting with stained glass shaders, I suspect.)

(I just realized I haven't checked this thread in a little while, because I would have remembered that corset vest. Saw one on a book cover recently, but it wasn't the same; it was this one https://www.darkgarden.com/corsets/beau-brummell -- I like the back of both of them about equally, but the front of the one you found is MUCH more interesting. I wonder if Daz would let something like that into the store if it were part of a full clothing set?)

Ok, i wasn't sure. Each item has a material preset with one of the shown textures, of course 3DL and Iray. I wish i could figure out how to do a stained glass shader, that would look really cool. And it's all rigged properly.

There's a stained glass shader in the store, so people can roll their own if they're interested, at least.

That's true, and it would be so amazing if someone who can make clothes made that vest ven if it was part of a larger set of clothing. I would be so happy. smiley

  • Daz REALLY wants me to buy female stuff. I have a banner to get a character called "Adria" for free as a "gift with 4.12". No strings attached. Now, on one hand I have literally no use for this character and I can say with confidence that I will never, ever render her. (I probably won't even install her) However, it is free. And I vacuum up freebies like a hungry, hungry hippo. But I know by obtaining this character I will be falsely confirming that female characters sell better than males.

    Sigh.

I appreciate the freebie, but it sure would be great if I could have picked a character, that you know, I would actually use

A choice between a male and a female character would have been really nice, though I do render both males and females so I am likely to atleast use her :)

At least you'll get some use out of her. She gets to languish on my external HD taking up valuble space. I suppose it's kind of even since I did just buy a male elf character from Renderosity. So they got $12 and Daz gets to give me a free $10 character. I guess I've sort of broken even in this situation?

A render for a contest over on DA.

    "You're a dirty cheat!"
"Those are strong words, my friend."
"Now let's everybody just calm down. Ain't no one cheating here!"

I've really been wanting a dual wield holster for the current gen, and today arrives this: https://www.daz3d.com/dusty-hd-cowgirl-outfit-for-genesis-8-females. Looks great! Except for the belly shirt. And that half jacket thingy. >_> But dual holsters!! But it's for the ladies. The quality of the pieces are so good, but it makes me so sad that something so high qality comes out for females, but the men get.......Nothing.

Oh wait. Men get this: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-sleuth-detective-outfit-for-genesis-8-males. Shapeless tube pants, a poofy shirt, and holsters that can't hold anything without stretching the "widen holster" dial waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy past it's limits. And dforcing it doesn't improve the look at all. And this outfit is in a pro-bundle!! Something that should have the highest quality content in it!

And yet. Men's stuff doesn't sell. Well I WONDER WHY????
