Is M5 backwards compatiable with M4 products?

I've been looking at the Cyborg models that say they work with M4. If I purchase M5 can it be used with M4 products?

M5 is a morph of Genesis (Generation 5), and M4 is a Generation 4 model, so they are different.

M4 clothing will 'fit to' Genesis and M5 using the Autofit plugin, I am not sure which Cyborg model you mean. Some that I have seen do not require M4 to work, can you provide a link to the item that you are referring to?

I've been looking at all the work of DzFire. The cyborg series looks fascinating!

While it might conform to Genesis/M5 through Auto-Fit it would probably not work and look as intended. Auto-Fit would treat as flexible clothing instead of mechanic robot skeleton so parts that aren't meant to flex and deform when posing would. This is based on my experience with Aikobot 2 for Aiko 4 when used on Genesis.

It definitely can be conformed to Genesis (though it wasn't specifically designed for that purpose), and some people have gotten some pretty cool results: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/6753/P105

I don't own the product yet, so I can't say how easy or difficult it is to use with Genesis.

Thanks, I will stay with 4 for now. It does state that they are compatible Victoria 4 and Michael 4. I was looking at the features of 5 last night and was not clear on the differences between the two.
