Keeps Crashing

Can anyone help me I downloaded DAZ 4.6 today onto my Macbook Pro and it just keeps crashing all the time......Its the first time I downloaded this software but this is really putting me off :(

I am only just getting into the world of 3D and just trying to learn myself as the videos on the website are for an earlier version and some of them are not even in the right places....I had to go to Youtube directly to watch the third video tutorial

Any help would be great

    Hello!

    First, did you install the Genesis Starter Essentials? And Did you download there "DAZ Install Manager" and installed with that or did you install using the installers? And last, the most important question, what version of Mac OS X are you using?

    I run DS on 10.6 -> 10.9

    And can you please post the first 100 lines of a crash report here, which makes it easier for me to determine why it crashes in the first place.

    Thanks for the quick reply......I am using Mac OSX 10.6.8 and yes I downloaded the Download manager first onto my laptop and installed DAZ 4.6 from there

    Next time I run the software I will upload the report for you to look at

    Thx, but no obvious reason.
    If you go to Help->troubleshooting..->View Log File and post the last about 100 lines from that I might get something more.

    In the mean time, what graphics card do you have (and are using on the MacBook Pro?) Discreet (what type) or are you running on the built in graphics chip.

    The crash seems to happen in the viewport when you pose something using the mouse. How much RAM do you have and how much is free for DAZ Studio to use? (It didn't look like a memory issue though, but it's good to rule out the easy ones first.

    If you go to Preferences and the Interface tab, and try to change the Display Optimization level, does it help?
    And what did you do exactly? Are you loading a one of the sample scenes or are you just playing around with a plain Genesis?

    I have 8 gig of ram and using maybe 2.0 gig with Daz although I will have to check as Im not an expert lol

    I got the file that you asked for maybe this will be right

    I was just messing with the Genesis and was struggling to get a dress on her that I downloaded

    OK, I see no really obvious reason for it to crash, but as I know it works it is something obvious I miss ;-)

    If you go to Window->Style and select a style and do Apply, and go to Window->Workspace and select a Layout. Then quit DAZ Studio (to allow it to rally save the preferences correctly, then start up again. Could be something with styles as there was a warning in the log. Can be a prefs that has been corrupted.

    Try that.

    Thanks a lot for your help.....I changed the style and the workspace and now it seems to be working fine

    I managed to just put some basic clothes on Genesis and quickly run through all the menus and do a render (nothing fantastic) but seems to be working fine now

    I will see to that the problem you had will end up on the desk of the developers as it seems to be an installer bug of some sort.
