This thing I have circled in blue flings something.....not knowing my history to well.....What does it do?? the other one sends rocks crashing into the castle...Thanks Trish

    This is a trebuchet.

    It can fling many interesting items - large rocks, for example. Or dead animals (early form of germ warfare). Or bales of hay, soaked in tar and lit, for starting fires. An excellent toy to bring to a siege!
