You'd need to apply the grey tone, and remove textures, in the Surfaces pane then save a Character Preset (File>Save As>Character Preset) to the desired folder.
You load Genesis, save it as a Shader Preset called something like "Genesis Grey", then you can apply it to Genesis 2. I have created it as a Custom Action which now appears on my toolbar, so anything I want to look grey will look grey in an instant. :coolmad:
Yes if the shader is wrong and that matters you'd need to apply the right sahder, then you could just copy and paste the surface settings for Genesis to G2F.
Ok thank you both so much! I was going crazy trying to figure out how to change all those settings, and wondering why it didn't have a default grey preset.

so I only need to change the normal map to none and diffuse color to the 204/204/204...I don't have to remove the shader or change anything else?

Here's one I did some time back specifically to G2F since she has surfaces that Genesis doesn't.
