Hi folks

It seems that if you have clothings for these avatars
David 3, Victoria 4, The girl 4, Stephanie 4, Reby Sky, M4, H4, K k, Freak 4 Aiko 4,
You can easily fit them to genesis ( and thus to all the possibles avatars of it)
What about The young teens or M3 V3 how can you do the same for their Wardrobe?

thanks:roll:

Hi Hogyo, I believe you need the V3 and M3 shapes for Genesis in order to use their products on Genesis

This is correct.Once you have the shapes you can load the old clothing and autofit will pop up. You can then select the original model it was for and it will refit it to Genesis.

    Some suggestions...

first it is worth the investment to buy SickleYields autofit templates...you will get better results using them rather than the originals.

I've found that there is often some distortion some of this can be fixed quite easily. By applying a smoothing modifier and changing the smoothing type to generic you will sometimes smooth out some of the bumps especially on Footwear.

Once a smoothing modifier is added you can adjust collisions and smoothing to suit the item converted. Remember though the more smoothing the more you lose detail on the garment like draping.

Some parts of garments if they stick out from the body do not convert well and will need to have the weight maps adjusted.

I personally prefer to load the garment then send it to Hexagon and use Hexagon to create adjustment morphs. This allows me to smooth out the distortions in the mesh when autofitting skirts.

Then I send it back to DS and it will automatically create a morph as long as you haven't added any extra vertices.

Some examples of autofitting old clothes...steph3 toga, puck outfit for m4 and a3's renaissance
You can see the distortion I was talking about on the renaissance skirt on the child...here is one with the skirt fixed on a3's forever after.
