Mimic Live question
Hi,
I'm new to the forum (and very new to forums in general). I apologize if this question has already been posted but I did a search and didn't really find anything similar. My question is: I'm very interested in Mimic Live, but I'm wondering - after the mouth movements have been completed (keyframed, I guess) based on speaking into the microphone, can additional animation to the face be added retroactively, to match the dialogue of the character?
I know there's a feature to add extra facial movements like blinks and other details to make the performance look more natural, but what if I want to really create a specific kind of performance, and not just have it limited to accurate lip syncing and some basic things like eye blinks? For instance, what if the lip syncing works fine (looks accurate) but the dialogue is being spoken in an angry tone - I'd want to go back into the animation and add some widened eyes, do things with the eyebrows, pull back the lips to bare some teeth periodically during the speaking, and so on. Has anyone had any experience with this? Does Mimic Live allow this?
Thanks :)

Yes, the output of Mimic is an animated sequence of settings for the phoneme morphs of the mouth, you can add extra morphs or even tweak those output by Mimic Live after the plugin has finished.
Wow, thank you so much for the quick answer. One more question - I've seen some debate about this -can pre-recorded audio speech be loaded into Mimic Live, or is it just for live speaking into the mic - and if so, do you think playing pre-recorded speech into the computer mic would at least work?
There isn't, as far as I know, a way to load a recording into the interface. Whether playing back to a mic would work would, I imagine, depend in large part on the quality of the hardware.
Thanks again! :)
