Have there been any updated files in 4.6 since May?
I read something in a Daz forum that sounded like there had been a fixed file in DS 4.6 lately. But I was busy with sale business just then and didn't bookmark it. Now I can't find the reference, even by forum search. Does anyone know what what was fixed? If so, would it require just a spot download or the download of the entire 4.6 again?

There have been several betas and at least oen full release since then. Updates are, so far, always complete reinstalls - the application is separate from the content, I'm not sure if Genesis Starter Essentials has been updated since May though the Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials definitely has. The threads on new versions are generally stickies in DAZ Studio Discussion:
