Looking good, I am a sucker for animations with only a few colors. Too often the color palette reminds me of jelly beans, but apparently not in your video.
I have also done some searching for voice acting. Computer voices for text to speech are available, some not entirely laughable like www.ivona.com (I've only listened online, not purchased). Also there are voice actors that will work online for a fee that depends on the type of video, search "voice acting online".
My conclusion has been to avoid dialogue as much as possible, con friends into it, or use my purchased Sound FX libraries from Digital Juice which have a good sized collection of standard phrases, etc., but not customizable.
Doing it myself is invariably cringe-inducing - Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, et al are worth whatever they get for "Toy Story".:wow:
Looks really good. I love the lighting in it
Thanks guys!
I'm quite friendly with a few voice over actors and they always moan about how everyone wants them to do stuff for free :) I don't really want to ask them to do me a favour as I don't wanna fall onto their iggy list :) You never know what's around the corner.
I'll check a few sites out and see if I can find someone who's willing to do it for credit along with a item purchase or something, depending what site they're on.
The VO is 5 sentences so it's not too taxing.
Thanks again,
Dean
you want a pro ?
I would give it shot if you don't .
Thanks Bigh,
Do you have any previous recordings done so I can listen to the quality of your mic?
Cheers,
Dean
will we can forget that then - only paid a $1 for it
edit to add - you should do it yourself - you know just what you
want - you can all ways change the pitch .
just my 2cents .
I do almost all of the voices in my animated movies (used family members once for a young boy and once for a woman).
If you heard my voices and didn't think they sounded ridiculous or inappropriate, maybe I can help.

The screen captures look great, looking forward to seeing the footage.
I agree. One nit - they seem a little symmetric, just a fetish of mine (non-symmetry) (which irritates my artsy wife)(and others also). I'm guessing the video will not be entirely symmetric ... ;-P
I've just finished watching the first season of the HBO series "Oz", some great camera angles in there, I have to keep reminding myself to not keep the camera straight and level. And look for some interesting POV's (at one point in "Oz" the camera is inside a box that the two actors are filling).
Thanks First Bastion!
Hi Steve,
I know what you mean about the camera angles. Some scenes have to have symmetry in order to achieve, what I call, the 'jump' shot. Example... If I'm doing a scene where a character bursts into the shot, thus making the audience jump, I always try and do a boring shot that leads up to that point - hopefully relaxing the audience before giving them a quick heart-attack. (no pleasure without pain.)
If it's a scene that's heart-attack free, I try and go for some nice angles. It's worked for me in the past with much cheaper looking animations and I guess it's just something that's stuck with me, right or wrong :)

Cyborg,
For some reason I can't reply to your message, nor can I compose a message to be sent. All I can do is read messages that have been sent for some reason.
Looking into it.
Dean
