Dark Trees Pack 1 and Poser 7

The trees were loading in invisible. So I tried to export them (twice) as obj files for Bryce. Each time, Bryce found the obj incompatible. So I went to the runtime and pulled one of the tree objs from geometries into Bryce. No problem. So, I tried importing the obj into Poser 7. Again, no problem.

It's not a lot of money, not worth the time to get a refund, especially as I can still use the trees in Bryce. But it's a pain to use the ivy in Bryce and there will be times I want to.

The ivy loads and renders fine in P7, the problem is with the Dark Tree Pack only.

Anyone know why this is happening?

I'm assuming the P7 problem with them is in the lib loads, as the obj files load from the directories with no problem and accept the mats from the material room. I'm just hoping against hope for an easy fix. Smith was selling P9 for $29 last month, wish I'd have taken advantage of it. *sigh*

I downloaded the Poser file manually, unzipped it to a temp directory and then went into the content folder and merged the runtime with one of my existing runtimes. I do not have my runtimes on the C drive. My runtimes were set up when I was still using P6, and they still work perfectly fine with P8. I skipped P7, but it should work the same way for you, I don't understand why it doesn't.

I decided to check Bb3D's Tree files (which failed in P7) cr2 files against JT's Ivy files which worked. The tree files are version 10, the Ivy version 6. More, the Ivy file loaded into a word processor looking like C++ or any other programming language, the tree files created in Poser Pro 2014 loaded all over the page unread-ably.

I'm going to try a redownload, if that doesn't work I'll go looking for a freeware cr2 editor.
