Best low resolution Daz figure - Michael compatable prefered.
I'm looking for figures to use as background characters. Figures that are poseable and come with a variety of clothing themes, but won't gobble up system memory and render time. My first instinct was to use some of the older Daz characters I have laying around, since wardrobes are available for them and (I thought) they used less resources for renders than Genesis. Then I heard that Genesis actually has few polys than then Mike4 or or Mike3.
So, my question is, for background characters who need to be posed and dressed for a scene, but who don't have to render very well, should I use:
a) Michael 3
b) Michael 4
c) Genesis (with the Resolution Level turned to Base and Subdivisions 0, maybe)
d) Actual mesh not very important, other factors such as wardrobe, lighting, textures outweigh it.
Any suggestions/comments are welcome. I tried searching the forums, but couldn't find a very good answer. I apologize in advance for any lack of fundamental understand that this question may expose.

Well, that depends more on the wardrobe needed than the Figure. M4 comes with Level of detail settings in the Morph++ pack I believe. As does the V4 in its. That auto lowers the REZ the farther the figure is from the Camera. I think. Nothing helps the clothing except decimating it.
For modern day renders I find the Lorenzo and Loretta Bundles perfect. Easy to use, very variable and needs nothing put the sets to use. All V4, M4 poses work on them so easy to pose as well.
Like Jaderail, I use Loretta/Lorenzo Lorez as background figures.

I also use Gen 1-3 characters. I always turn off any body parts covered by clothes.
Best of luck!
