Morphs bundles Genesis or G2F?
Hello, I'm new on Daz and also on any 3d software. I just downloaded Daz 4.6 and was checking a bit the tools and that but now I've some doubts.
I'm not plannig to use the softawere to get the 3D image as final product but to use it just for drawing references so I don't care about any extra content like clothes, textures and that, the naked base is ok for me to use it as a (more detailed) virtual woody drawing doll.
Here the doubts, I saw you need to buy these morphs to be hable to customize different body types and that and I saw two morphs bundles, one for genesis and one for G2F so I was wandering if there's a noticeable difference between Genesis and G2F for the purpose I'm going to use them, I know that Genesis morphs also can be used for males but on the female base is G2F more versatile with the morphs rn better to adapt to some poses or something like that?
And my other doubt, would I need to buy those Michael 5 and Victoria 5 chracters?
And a bonus track question :D I didn't have time yet to investigate the software but is it possible to add geometrical figures? like I could use a cube next to the character as reference for a table or a car or whatever.
Thanks in advance :)

I think either figure (Genesis or Genesis 2 Female) would be more than adequate for your purposes, as you describe them.
The main advantage of Genesis is that because it's based on an androgynous basic shape, it's more versatile--and any morphs and poses you buy will work with any Genesis characters, male or female (though the poses may require some manual tweaking if the shape you're using is different than the shape the poses were made for).
Genesis 2 Female is capable of more realistic bending and facial expressions than Genesis is. The geometry is also somewhat more detailed. So if physical accuracy is most important to you, that might be your best bet. That having been said, though, I think you'd find Genesis to be very acceptable in those areas too, especially if you purchase characters like Victoria 5 and Michael 5 (who are certainly more detailed and anatomically precise than Genesis Basic Female and Basic Male). And even basic Genesis is much more accurate than a wooden drawing doll.
Speaking of anatomical accuracy, if you need genitalia you'll have to buy one or another of the Pro Bundles (V5 Pro, M5 Pro, S5 Pro, Victoria Michael Combo Bundle, V6 Pro, Gia Pro). Of these, the Genesis Victoria Michael Combo Bundle might be worth considering as it gives you V5, M5, the morph bundle, the genitalia, and muscle morphs (which is something significant that G2F doesn't have yet).
I don't know that I'd say that G2F is more "versatile" with respect to morphs or poses...in fact, I'd tend to argue the opposite...but it is definitely more physically accurate in some respects. Or at least it can be.
To answer your "bonus question" yes...in DAZ Studio (and many other 3D programs) you can add various geometrical shapes called "primitives" to your scene. In DS, click the Create menu and choose New Primitive, then select the shape you want.
Thanks for the reply. I really don't care about figures with genitalia since I don't use to draw full nudes. Now about M5 and V5, are those like presseted figures that you could achieve by just using the Genesis morphs or they are something "new" that add more custom options to the ones you get with the "Genesis Evolution: Morph Bundle"? Could I get "correct" (anatomicaly speaking) models and poses and versatility to create different characters without M5 and V5? I mean I was thinking to get Genesis Evolution: Morph Bundle and may be the muscularity one too that would cost $73 instead of $124 for the combo to add M5 and V5.
And I have the kind of same question about "Genesis Evolution: Expressions", are those some presseted expressions that you can't achieve with the "Genesis Evolution: Head Morphs" or you could get some good expressions with the head morphs?
And finally if it's not asking too much, I saw this product http://www.daz3d.com/stalker-girl on the description it says "A huge number of correctors allows the character to make extreme poses." and "You can mix Stalker Girl morph with any other Genesis figure and create many different unique characters." considering the use I'll give to the software do you think those correctors and Staker girl morphs could be something worthy to add?
V5 and M5 (and other Genesis people like Stephanie 5, Hiro 5, plus G2F people like V6, Gia, etc.) are not presets, but extra shapes. They can be mixed or combined with any of the morphs in the relevant morph packages. That having been said, using the morphs you could probably dial up a character that looks pretty similar to V5 or M5.
One of the advantages to characters like V5, M5, Stalker Girl, etc., is that they do have those corrective morphs that allow them to pose better. These work "behind the scenes" so that the user doesn't need to mess with them. G2F, in part because it's built on a female base, has less of a need for these corrective morphs, which means that even the basic G2F will respond quite well to "typical" poses and even some more extreme ones. I don't own Stalker Girl but she's on my wish list--I've heard good things from other users.
Genesis Evolution: Expressions contains expressions that work on a dial...unlike some other expression sets, they're not merely presets. But while they're very nice to have, it is possible to dial your own expressions using the base Genesis pose controls.
Ok, thanks for clarifying all these things, trully appreciated. I think I will go with the “Genesis Evolution: Morph Bundle" first and see if that works for what I want.
