Hello DAZ3D Forum!
Hope everyone is doing well out there in 3D World! :)
Can anyone point me in the direction or know a tutorial how artists do their own eye make up for poser characters?
I'd love to learn how do create my own eye shadow and add glitter to my female character etc;
Thanks
Ghost

Load the SKINFACE/Head texture into any 2D art program. If the program supports layers create one ABOVE the base texture. Now draw your make up on the face texture. If the Make up is only for that one character and Skin texture you then Merge the Layers and save the NEW texture as a High rez file, png is always good, with a NEW name in the Runtime>Texture folder or into the DAZ Formats> Materials folder. You then load the Character and the BASE texture into DAZ Studio so you can See how your work will look on that figure. You then go to the Surfaces and pick only the SkinFace material zone, use the Drop down menu on the mini picture to browse to your new Texture with the Make Up. Ta Da that is what It will look like when you use it. Now with just the SKINFACE material zone selected in the Surfaces TAB you do a File>Save As>Material Preset and Name it something. I would SAVE the Mat in the same folder as the other Files for that Character texture.
If you wish to USE your NEW Make UP LAYER on any skin Texture for THAT UV, V4, V5, V6, Gia you only SAVE the new Makup as a pgn with only the make up layer saved. You can then use the LIE in DS4+ to add that to ANY texture for the same UV you made it for. Example it you did a V4 texture the make up would work on ANY V4 texture that had no make up on it. You could then do as above and Save a Material Preset once the Make Up was added to that Texture.
Please note this only works for the SAME UV's. IF you start with a V4 SKINFACE it would only work on a V4 Texture.
I hope that helps. I'm a bit under the weather and Not sure I explained it very well.
Just adding you are better off if you also use the template as a layer, to give you the true guidlines for where the face parts are. you can make it invisible or remove it before you save the copy.
Great.... thanks for the suggestions! Sorry you are under the weather Jade! I hope you feel better. It's because of the stupid weather going from hot to cold constantly and change in season!
I have Photoshop CS6 extended. Will my character be able to load in Photoshop? CS6 has 3D capability now. If I could do it there then that would be awesome! :)
