as far as I know it has to be in the main Daz Studio program directory and not in the content folder...but from memory you don't get a choice as the installer reads the registry and knows where to install to. But it has been a while so don't quote me on that.
I got it installed and yes it did install to the studio program folder. There were 2 versions to d/l for win64 1.0 and 2.0 so thinking they were 2 parts to program I installed 1.0 then proceeded to install 2.0, and it wanted to uninstall the first, so I let it then installed ver 2.0. I hope after all that I have the newest version installed.

Ok I will try that, I iinstall everything with DIM now so removing is easy. GenX doesn't come through DIM
Do the installers prompt for a location? I don't think there are user-facing files. Is it not locating the DS application folder automatically?
The various GenX installers should install into the default DAZ Studio folder specified by their installers.
