Confused about Face Morph lack of options.

Hi there,

I am new to Daz 3D 4.6 and am a little confused as to a few things. I have been trying to play around with the shape sliders and face morph sliders on the Genesis 2 and also on the Victoria 5 which looks like a much nicer detailed model in general, but I cant for the life of me find the face morphs for the victoria model. THe genesis 2 model seems to allow a far greater control of the face, allowing cheekbone depth, eye angle, mouth pouting, etc, etc. The Victoria 5 only seems to have eye height, mouth height etc. Is that expected? Or am I missing some facemorphs for it? Seems a little pointless having paid so much for a model to not be able to morph the shape to make it have a unique appearance.
So realising this limitation , I then bought the Genesis 2 Face Morph Kit 2, which also metioned on the descrription it works with Victoria 6, does that mean I bought the wrong one? As I have Victoria 5. If so where can I purchase a Victoria 5 Face morphs kit to allow for the far greater control of her face shape settings?

(I also bought Carrish for V5, as I liked her faceshape, but it seems when i double click the image of her it only puts the model into a pose, but hasnt seemed to change her face to the charrish shape at all.)

If anyone could tell me what I am doing wrong here , I would be highly appreciative.

many thanks!

Victoria 5 is a character for Genesis (the original Genesis), so any Genesis morphs can be used with V5. The primary Genesis head morphs are these (it may be more economical to get them as part of a bundle, for example this one).

You can also get a nice, free set of Genesis morphs here...or any of the Genesis Morph Resource Kits by Thorne and Handspan Studios (similar to the one you bought for Genesis 2 Female).

Oh , thankyou so much for helping! I guess its a matter of me getting used to which packs work with which models. I have downloaded the genesis bundle now and will try that. I also downloaded the free one you linked to me, but I am unsure which folders i need to put the extracted files into for them to work.

Any suggestions where to put them?

    Many thanks!

I put together some information here on the history of DAZ figures and compatibility between different generations.

In general, stuff you download from third-party sites will come in zip files. The zips will contain folders that can be merged with folders of the same name on your computer (where your content is stored). If I get a chance later I'll look at the DieTrying morph package to see how it's set up. In the meantime, you can also see Wilmap's tutorial on dealing with zipped content.
