[SOLVED] Predatron Lorenz Monk
Hello all,
I just purchased Lorenz Monk BY Predatron, downloaded file and installed trough DAZ3DIM. All files have been installed into My LIbrary/Runtime Folder and, as last time with another item I bought (monastery always by Predatron) I cannot access to this folder form DAZ browser so select character, apply textures, poses and so on.
I am a newbie and actually I didn't understand yet how to load from inside DAZ all the files located into Runtime folder. If I buy items containing some files into other folder i.e. Epic WIngs (with the main file into My LIbrary/People/Genesis/Props/wings) or Elven Hair or MEC4Dthere is no problem at all because the 'main' file is not in the Rontime Folder but with products including files only in the runtime Folder (and subfolder) as this one, well I am unable to load and manage them from DAZ studio Content LIbrary.
Of course I can drag from HD the .cr2 onto DAZ main screen and then the same way drag texture but with poses this method doesn't properly work and it is not so comfortable. I am sure there is a way to work from within Daz Content LIbrary but how?
Any help will be very appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

Inside the Content Library, you have DAZ Studio Formats and Poser Formats. Anything that uses the Runtime folder will appear in Poser Formats only.
When installing content using the DIM, you MUST NOT give DIM the path to the runtime folder such as you mentioned above - My LIbrary/Runtime - instead, just give DIM the path to the My Library folder.
If you install to My Library\Runtime, DIM will create another 'runtime folder inside the original one, and you do not want nested folders. Is that what has happened? You can check by looking in Windows Explorer.
Everything gets installed to 'My Library' and NOT to any subfolder of it. Make sure that the path that you give to the DIM ends at My Library for both Poser and DAZ Studio content.
Actually the Path od DIM is DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library (without Runtime subfolder) but DIM installed all contents into Runtime Folder as follows:
Runtime/Geometries/P3DA/LoRezII_Monk (it includes OBJ's)
Runtime/Libraries/Character/P3DA_LoRezMonk (it includes the .cr2 files)
Runtime/LIbrairies/Hair/PEDA_Hair (it includes hair of course)
Runtime/LIbraries/Pose/P3DA_LoRezMOnk (it includes MAT_xxx.dsa, MAT_xxx.pz2, PART_xxx.pz2 and POSE_xxx.pz2 + .png files)
Runtime/Textures/P3DA/ Containing all Texture Folders (including all .jpg fies)
So there is not any Runtime subfolder because, as stated above, the path of DIm seems to be the right one ( it ends with /My Library) so everyting got installed to 'My Library' but also this way I cannot see anything. Maybe the problem could be that I am on MAC and not on PC? I dont' think so...
It seems to be installed to the correct place.
When you go to the Content Library pane, Poser Formats > My DAZ 3D Library > Character > P3DA_LoRezMonk, you should find the CR2 file. Double click on it to load the figure.
The only other thing that I can think of, is that you don't have My DAZ 3D Library listed as BOTH a DS AND Poser Formats folder in the Content Directory Manager.
You need to go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, and make sure your library is listed under both formats.
Thank you very much Jimmy, your precious advice finally solved my problem.
The content Directory Manager was pointing to a previous installation on a different Hard Disk. Now I corrected all directories and everything is visible under Content LIbrary > Poser Format > My LIbrary (while before this directory was empty).
Again, thank you very much, this forum is the most helpful I ever experienced.
