problem with the right eye of generation 2 and 3 figures
A long time ago, I made some stories in poser using (A.O.) the millennium preschool girl.
Now I am in the proces of reviving that 'storyline' using DS4.6
But I am running into a problem with the right eye....
See the attached images, the right eye has a double 'side-side' dial; when I use this dial, the eyes both moves to the side and rotates, This does not happen with the left eye.
So I checked in Poserpro2014, no problem there....
Redownloaded and reinstalled the mill.girls package, and the problem still exists in DS4.6 and no problem in PPro2014
Sooo, in poser I took a look at the available dials, using D3D's unhide dials script:
- the left eye has a hidden zrotate dial (which is visible in DS4.6 as I have hidden dials set to visible)
- the right eye does not have a hidden zrotate dial, but it has a 2nd hidden side-side dial..... I guess that causes the trouble... it probably is the zrotate dial, named incorrectly
And, what do you know, the same problem occurs in the mill.girls, mill.boys, matt&maddie;, luke&laura; and V3 characters.
However, M3 seems to work fine.....
Anyone knows how I may be able to correct this problem?

That needs a bug report, but if you grab the public beta (4.6.1.14) there's a new entry - Consolidate Properties - in the Parameter pane option menu (button in the top corner, or right-click the tab) labelled Consolidate properties - setting that to unchecked will allow you to access the separate controls.
Filed a request for assistance (apparently that is what is needed to file a bug-report!?! )
Will look into the new beta, though I am somewhat reluctant to install a beta version next to a working version (even with the beta being able to operate side by side with a regular install.....)
This is a very, very old bug, and I know of at least one bug report about, but that was back around the time of DS1 to DS2, and nothing ever happened about it, and as these are so old I doubt if DAZ will fix this after all this time.
Having said that it's a really easy fix, open the CR2 in a text editor, and in the case of preschool Vicki do a search for actor rightEye, you should find two instances of it, you want the second one, scroll down until you get to line 511645, this line should read "rotateZ zrot", two lines under that you should see "name GetStringRes(1028,3)", simply replace GetStringRes(1028,3) with zrot and then save.
Ah, thank you, will give that a try (though probably not tonight anymore - almost midnight here...)
At least now I know what to search for and change in the .cr2...
Yep, that worked very nicely..... so thank you again!
