DEFINATELY DIM
Sorry for shouting.
In a previous post i said the following in relation to my intention/hope of getting everything in DS to work as it should despite my having messed things up.
For your information i am a Mac user. Version 10.8.5 and have DS4.6.0.18 Pro 64 bit.
Question is what is the best way for me to first remove all the content, then set up DIM in the best way, and having done both those things, i assume simply letting DIM do the work is the way to go.
I have lots of stuff, both from DS and other sources including Rendo and share CG, so i have made a copy of my library folder which has everything in it. If things go wrong, as i anticipate they might, i can recover the situation. I need to know how to proceed. The screenshot is the error message i get when trying to use smart content...
I make no secret of the fact that i need my hand held on this stuff, so any screen shots that you can supply would be great...
I am sorry for posting twice on this subject but i am getting desperate to resolve this so would be pleased to hear any suggestions..

Here is a hint on how to see if things are setup correctly.
Hi and thank you
As i have little patience i have as usual rushed in and done some tinkering. Not that it matters because i can restore everything to its previous faulty state anyway, and it might save me the laborious task of re organising my stuff, Here are the screen shots you asked for, i cant see the problem myself, my eyesight is not as good as it once was...
Looks right.
When you get the error, do you load from Content Library or Smart Content?
Not totally sure i follow the question, but here goes. I load a character from the content library, and try to use smart content to add to it. Thats when i get the error. To be honest its been such a long time since i can recall the smart content working at all that i kind of forget how it should work anyway...
I guess your smart content database is pointing wrong. Try this:
Locate Content DB maintenance, and reset the content DB and reimport metadata.
Your guess is correct, smart content now works correctly. I want to thank you very much for the time and trouble you have taken to help me with this, i would never have found that myself.
Again a big thank you
You're welcome ;-)
