Oh please don't be sorry, I'm sorry to have disturbed you during Christmas...there really isn't any rush, enjoy the day :)
I uninstalled all my RiverSoftArt, re-installed, same problem...uninstalled again but only eye clock, look at me, cloth convertors for G2F to G8F, G3F to G8F,G8 to G3, and they're all working.
So I think the problem is with the last two I purchased yesterday, Hair convertor and G3M to G8M...although I haven't tried G2M to G8M as it's Christmas day here in Australia and I've had a little Christmas cheer, perhaps more than a little ;)
Enjoy Christmas and let's take this up after if that suits you :)
I think you need to look in your hard drive for extra versions of the files, and delete the extra ones. I knew I had seen this before so I looked through old forum posts. I had one user who had your exact problem (user name: John Cox) and here is what he reported:
I have solved my problem, here's what I did and it is drastic!
I searched my mac for items called 'clothing converter'. 3 copies of the folders turned up. The one hidden in DAZ connect was not showing any icons for any of the items in that folder. The one in My DAZ 3D library was showing the icons, BUT I had deinstalled it?? So I selected everything and trashed it all.
I then started to realize that I don't use the DAZ connect library so I deleted that as well. AND got back 160gig of disc space. Then I selected the 'work offline' option so that I don't reconnect.
I then did the content DB maintenence to clean everything up, and that only took 30 seconds and my DAZ library was back up and running.
I reinstalled your product through DIM and it is all working.
You shouldn't have to do anything so drastic (I hope), but my thought is that multiple copies are interfering with each other somehow. Daz Connect won't let you delete them; you need to uninstall them. It might need some content DB maintenance too.
I am sorry for the inconvenience. You can also return the product for a refund.
So, I'm having a problem with the script. I don't know if this is a script problem or a DAZ Problem, so I'm posting it here.
So, I have the ability to convert hair. The script will convert a single hair item with no problems, but then the script stops responding and eventually DAZ crashes.
Furthermore, if I try to convert more than one hair .duf at a time, the script will convert the first hair in the list and then stop responding.
Let me know if you have any questions, or if I need to send this one to DAZ.
Thanks,
Jason
I am sorry for the trouble you are having. Does it only happen with this hair or all hair products?
(EDIT: BTW, yes, it is because it is crashing that the hair items are still checked)
1) Thanks for responding!
2) Yes, it's happening with all G3F Hair products.
Jason
I am wracking my brain to try and figure out what is going wrong with yours. I have to admit I am at a loss. Please PM me your email address. Perhaps I can disable some steps in the conversion process and we can find out what is tripping your installation up.
Many thanks. I was finally able to get my favorite G3F hair for my character converted to G8F. I had moved my character from the G3F base to G8F base but using Auto-Fit to fit that hair never really worked properly for me. It always had some distortions. This script converted it very well. Am able to use all the custom morphs I had created for the hair in ZBush too. Will convert some of the other G3F hairs that suits my characters face.
I had luck converting a few G3F hairs. Two of the OOT hairs (top model and super sleeky) wouldn't conform to Victoria 8.. I realize this is for G8F, but just noting. Also batch directory conversions don't work.. one by one is just fine and I can deal with that.
For what it's worth I also have the G3F-> G8F clothing conversion tool. I'll try removing it and see what happens.
That is very strange about V8 conforming. You are talking about using the hairs after conversion, correct? That should not happen. I know this is obvious, but make sure V8 is selected before loading hair (I was trying to recreate your issue and accidentally deselected it when I deleted a hair and then the next hair didn't conform and I panicked )
What is happening with your batch conversions? Can you post a log of trying to convert 2 at once?

I will be away for a few days but will try converting two.
As for V8 .. the four SWAM pieces I tried all worked incluing a long hair (Jerry Hair). The two OOTs (Top Model and Super Sleeky) both failed talling above the head by about as much as their bottom most extension. Goldtassel Krayon failed. Emma and Jordi Avelyn failed. April YSH Chace failed, Dax worked. I haven't tried any others.
By failed I mean it converted, but did't position properly.
When I tried adding the converted Super Sleeky without selecting V8 and then positioned by hand and parented the long bones seemed to work ok.
I haven't tried taking off the G3F->G8F clothing files and reintalling just the hair conversion.

Very strange. I don't have the two OOTs, but I have Krayon, Chace and Avelyn which all worked (see images). Please restart Daz and reconvert them using the plain G8F figure (making sure Overwrite option is on).

I had at least two problems..
The ability to do a batch was fixed by reinstalling all of my Riversoft Art scripts... for whatever reason ...
The V8 fitting prolbem turned out ot be a non problem. I was trying it on a Victoria 7 for Victoria 8 figure. That doesn't work.

Does this work really well? I want to use OOT Topmodel Hair with G8, but using autifit breaks the presets in smart content. When you click on the icon they do nothing. Will this product make it so the presets will work using Top Model Hair on G8?

I don't have Top Model but Sporty Ponytail works great, including shape presets
I can't figure out what the problem is with these two as they are both .duf files, and both have metadata and both are G3F hairs. The script seems to think it has converted them but it hasn'ty.
I have the Bast Hair selected in the script box, hit convert or execute, and it seems to go through the process EXCEPT I don't see the hair loading onto G8 like all the others. The message at the end says "execution completed in 1 second on 0 items". IN the log file I did notice this line: "13:57:08 GMT+1000 (E. Australia Standard Time): Preset loaded multiple objects. Aborting conversion for F:\My Library\People\Genesis 3 Female\Hair\Bast\BastHair.duf" So I'm assuming that's why it's not working?
Now the Tapered hair I actually thought was the same, but I've just tried it again now and in "type" in the script box, it's a "scene_subset" instead of "follower/hair". That's odd - I don't know why it's like that. It's definitely a .duf file - the product is for Genesis, Genesis 2 and Genesis 3, so now I'm wondering if the Genesis one is the actual hair and the Gen2 and Gen3 files are....refits? I don't know.
But other than those two, everything is working perfectly.
Just adding the link to the product here so Ati's browser add on will pick up on it and display it on the product page for anyone trying to find the forum thread about it.

Thank you for sharing @jakiblue! I am glad you are loving it. I don't have either of those hairs, but the loading multiple items will definitely mean it cannot convert the Bast Hair What does the Daz Log say for the Tapered hair?

The Clothing G4 to G8 has run into some difficulty. Hopefully, we can figure a way around it.

Thank you RiverSoftArt and after reading your comment I'm quite sure this has to be the reason, I've give it a try in the morning...:)
Thank you! I am glad it is working for you.

Well awesome! I am glad it is working now.
AutoFit usually distorts it badly at the shoulders.
Works great. Look at the promos. No problem with long hair.

I spent the morning converting 58 G3F hairs and have about another 12 to go LOL. This is freakin' awesome!
So far, I've only had problems with two hairs.
