I made the clothing and hair in Blender (and did a few renders there too) for a Genesis 8 figure. My goal is to have The Star Butterfly and its sister project avalable to download, though the sister project probably won't be free like this one is. Still, FBMs and JCMs are a pain and a half to figure out -- random info about various Genesis (geneseye?) and even V4.2 are all over the place and not all data is consistant.
