When it's a zipped DAZ installer. Like others I like zip files for their ease of use. And I was happy when DAZ said they were converting. But it makes not an iota of sense to zip an installer file! It's like calling a weed a Rose, it's still a weed. Thanks for listening to those who want zip files DAZ, but geeze use a bit of common sense. The reason we want zips is that we don't want the install files!!!!!!!

Those are Mac installers inside .zip files. Items which have been converted to .zips do not have separate Mac and PC downloads. The .zip file names start with IM
So the PC zip files, when we see them, will not be just zipped installers? And we can unzip and place them where we want without the installer steps???
The zips will just be zips, which can be unpacked with any utility - there are already some around to see that this is so. The Mac zips have nothing to do with the move to zips for content, they are just there to deliver the Mac counterpart to the Windows installers.
That will depend on whether there is metadata involved and if you use the Smart Content tab. If you are using Smart Content and you want to put the content somewhere other than the structure provided in the .zip, you will need to edit the metadata to match. Genesis content will need to go exactly where it was designed to go.
