how would i make an video interactive?

hello!...i am not sure how to describe what i am asking, and my English is not very good. so panda bear with me. what i am trying to do, is create a sort of "choose your own adventure" video...i have all the animation scenes made and ready to go, with all kinds of alternate endings and out comes, but if i were to post it to youtube, it would not be able show these, it would just be a simple.."click play and watch" thing, now what if i wanted the viewer to choose the next scene? like if say, for example, a choice were presented in my video, like going left or right..how would i make it so the person watching could decide that? and play which ever scene he chose? like an interactive video? ---thank you for your time

First thing that comes to mind is coding it for Flash. You can embed videos as well as hyperlinks and such. You'd need a website to embed the flash video onto, though.
