Making shadows visible onto background image?

Hi All,

I'm trying to make a character's shadow visible in a scene with a background image. I've seen in a Daz video how to do it in a 3D environment, but it didn't show how to onto a 'image background'. Another video showed how to set up a 'Plane' which, I have done, but it renders white. How do I tell Daz to render the shadow, but to not render the white plane. To make the plane invisible on render just showing the shadow?
FYI, I did a search in the DAZ Help menu, and here online and got 'no returns'.
