Thanks KM.  How long will the voting be open for?

  • The voting will be open for two weeks to make sure everyone has a chance to vote. I'll also make an announcement in the Commons when the voting is open.

  • Update! So, the voting thread is going to take a couple more days as I sort through images, give random numbers and set up the voting on SurveyMonkey. You guys! There were a lot more entries than I had thought given we only had 5 pages. I had forgotten just how many entry posts could go on one page! I'll have some numbers for you by tomorrow, but I think we might have come close to beating the number of entries we had last year. Makes me happy. I'll have to double check last year's numbers and compare them to this year's numbers. I'll post a breakdown of numbers and categories when I'm done. I had to take a break but I'll dive back in first thing in the morning to finish things up. So, I might have everything set by Tuesday. I'll keep you posted.

Great news, Knittingmommy! Looking forward to watching the voting thread. Thanks for all your hard work organizing this.

  • Thank you for all of your hard work and not to mention everyone who entered!

@Knittingmommy have I thanked you? No? I will...

Allow me to add my thanks to all the others. To Knittingmommy for organizing the contest and shepherding it along; and to all the generous sponsors, thank you! Speaking for myself, it is often challenges like this that provide the incentive to quit fooling around and actually complete a render. blush

  • Important announcement!!!

I've posted the voting thread for the 2018 It's Raining Men Contest. It can be found at:

    https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/301586/it-s-raining-men-voting-thread-please-check-your-entries#latest

In the interest of fairness and because I've been known to make mistakes, please find your images in the thread and make sure I got them all. Also, find your images in the lists on the last post if you entered your image in the Carrara or Re-Purposed category to make sure I managed to get them in the right place.

I will turn voting on tomorrow morning by Daz3d noon time. You have until then to PM me of any mistake so I have a chance to fix it before the voting goes live.

We had 125 entries this year! While that isn't quite as many as the first year this contest ran, it's really close. It's way more entries than we had last year.

  • Judging for the other categories will take place after the public voting has been closed. Thank you all for your patience. I had a few technical difficulties with Chrome crashing in the middle of creating the voting thread and my eyes are now crossed from double checking all entries to make sure I didn't forget anyone. I really hope I don't get any PMs saying I've made a mistake but I have things set up so I can make quick fixes.

Thank you for all your hard work! smiley

  • I've fixed a couple of title mistakes but so far it looks like I might have gotten things right. I haven't gotten "You forgot my image!" PMs which is good. :)

You can edit a post on a closed thread,  you just can't add a new post

I tried that but I kept getting a post not found error. I'll try again later and see if I manage to get it edited. Thanks, @Chohole!

Voted. (would have preferred not to have had to vote in a category in which I had an entry, but as long as I didn't vote for myself, its all good smiley)
