How do I load a Zombie for Michael 4 / Genesis add-on "skin" to Michael 4 skeleton? Thanks!

You can't, the M4 and the M4 skeleton have very different UV maps.

I purchased a skin materials package in DAZ store to use for Michael 4 named "Zombie for Genesis and M4"

You can parent M4 to the M4 skeleton, and then make parts of M4 invisible, either by turning them invisible, or by adding a transparency, but you will need both figures loaded.

If what you wan to do is change the Skin on either M4 or Genesis, using the character pack that you have purchased, you should find icons for that in the Pose library for M4 (as his are Mat poses) or in the materials library for Genesis.

Yes it is for M4 and can be used on Genesis. It is not compatable with the M4 skeleton. The Skeleton is a different figure all by itself. It can not use M4 textures.

Now that was helpful! I loaded my Michael 4 base character instead of the skeleton and was able to apply the skin. Thanks!

There is such a steep learning curve for newbies and it's confusing with the different models and their versions. I wish DAZ would enhance their documentation. When someone sells a product there should be a link or note on how to install it.

Yes there is a large amount to learn, and we were all new at this once. I'm pushing 5 years with DAZ Studio and I learn something new everyday.

I have been using my fave 3d program for about 15 years, and still learning things that the latest version can do.
