Hello,
one newbie question regarding the symbols that appear in my scene when i select an object or its part. In most cases they work OK but sometimes not - example here:
I select the whole figure that i want to rotate or translate - i leftclick the apropriate symbol, drag mouse and... - nothing happens. As you can see, the translate lines under the figure are missing arrown on its ends so there must be "something" wrong in my scene and I do not know what. :) Can someone help?
Thanks!

I think it is just a case of you having hit the rotation limits somewhere. For example, if you try to bend the shoulder beyond a certain point using the sliders it will not work (you can always, of course, turn the limits off or change them manually). One problem I have found with trying to do rotations with the rotation tool on the screen is that it is often difficult to work out exactly what it is you are rotating, and in what direction, so it is easy to hit the limits without realising you are. I always use the sliders for rotation.
I know what you are talking about but I am trying to rotate the whole figure, not a part of it. So there should be no limits I think.
When you do a Rotation with the mouse you should continue the cursor in a straight line rather than trying to follow the path of the rotation on screen. It is a bit counter-intuitive, but that's how it appears to work!
I do not think this is a matter of mouse functionality. I really thiink there is "something" that does not allow the transformations. I bet I have activated some shortcut that changed the way it works - I started working with DAZ3D yesterday so I am an absolute noob. By default the axis lines had arrows on its edges. Now there are squares and instead of translating I scale objects. Ahhhhh.
You have changed to a different tool. I advise having the TOOL menu bar on screen it shows which one is active.
