My doctor has 40 years of experience but, that only means his mind is stuck in the past and his judgement clouded by years of prejudice. I changed doctors because he refused to accept there was anything wrong with me. Some actual tests proved I had several chronic problems for which I now get free prescriptions for. Free because in the UK if you have a congenial disorder you get free prescriptions.

Being old is not synonymous with having all the evidence or being good at guessing which is NOT science.

I hope it is not rude to point out a typographical error, but I would _love_ to have a 'congenial disorder'.

I can't seem to make this work... Am I meant to click within the active viewpoint?

Try to find one of the controls in the Viewport like the View Selection dropdown (I think the others work too but this one does for sure) with the invisible cursor and then click - the controls will light up when you hower the cursor over them so you can see where it is.  That

will make the cursor visible again.

Thank goodness. I've been having this problem and now there is at least a workaround to it. I've long since given up on DAZ actually /fixing/ anything at all, so at least now it's a tad less frustrating to use.

Awesome, worked like a charm, thanks!

I dunno... My mouse pointer used to disappear, so I just glued it to him...

It's been fixed in the latest public build.

That is the general release, and doesn't have the fix. It is in the Public Build (the beta) 4.15.1.72.

  • Easily recreatable in 4.16.0.3:  Click both mouse buttons while cursor is over the control with the four compass points by the rotation cube. Drag mouse slightly and the cursor will vanish.

Get it back by going just above the rotation cube and dragging down perspective view to activate that menu. It can be tricky to get to that menu, but this will make the cursor visible again.

Although 4.16.0.3 is later than the beta with the fix, the fix was not in fact moved across. It is still in the current Public Build from the 4.16.1.x branch.

  • Well since, after years, I finally got frustrated enough tonight to go look for a solution, instead of just saving, shutting down and starting again, and given that I am using 4.16.11.17 I guess that I am going to have to wait a little longer for the poroblem to go away.

  • Sorry 4.16.1.17.

Thank you so much, it worked for me :) I had this issue several times and I didn't find another solution than closing DAZ Studio :(

I've seen it occasionally in recent DS versions, but it's rare that it happens, and it seems to behave a bit different than the "original version".  I'm using Mouse Without Borders, don't know if that has any negative or positive effect on the phenomena.
