Polygon Hair
Hi gang,
Just wanted to get your thoughts on the below. I would like to get into actually rendering some Marvel or DC characters or even old school cartoon character. The hair however is going to be an issue. I tried out a few different approaches to rendering hair in DAZ but I kind of like the blocky un-textured polygon look. It is by no way supposed to represent realistic hair but I think it works on some levels...your thoughts. Critiques welcome, I am also contemplating doing these images in toon mode but I like the realistic look of the skin juxtapose with the blocky polygon hair. It makes be this of chris bachalo, his art is very angular. This is not the hair or cloths he will be wearing in the final image. As you can probably tell, no post work was done. I included the bald back shot because I am happy with the way the cloth came out.
