Folder List

I found out and added my Render Library with the help of the forums. I just download Daz 4.6 for Window 7 64bit. I still have some issues and wanted to check to make sure I had all the folders I needed. Is there a screenshot or a list of folders that I should have. For some unknown reason using the install manager my render Library was never made and I would like to make sure that is the only one missing. Thank you.

The DIM only installs content to the location that you give it, it does not create folders that are optional.

For example, I don't have a Render Library Folder, but I have created my own folder for that purpose.

Not everyone will have the same folders in their My DAZ 3D Library folder, but you can trust DIM to put the files where they belong. Is there any reason that you think folders may be missing?

In DIM, if you go to the Installed tab, select any item, right-click on that item, a context menu appears which will list for you the Installed Files (among other things). It might be simpler if you posted a list of the folders that are in My DAZ 3D Library (if that is what you use), and we could have a look at it to see if there are any obvious errors.

No. thank you I found my problem. I just bought an item in the store and found it on the right side of the screen under content. Is it possible to make the content tab look like the smart content with icons and labels not like files or folders that are marked by letters A, B, C ect.. also is there a way to have it on the left side under the smart content and then save it. I'm looking for an easy way to find items that I want to work with. Any tips or tricks.

If you click on the Content Library context menu (looks like little lines with a triangle), the first three items are how you can view your content. If you can't find the context menu, right-click on the words 'Content Library' and you will get the same menu. You can view as tree, list or side by side.

You can dock any of the panes wherever you want to have them, by dragging and dropping on the label of the tab. For the Content Library, just left-click on it, and drag to where you want it to be.

When you have things the way you want, go to Window > Workspace > Save Layout As, and you can always go back to that layout if something gets messed up.
