Cannot get files to install

I am running windows 8 & have installed Daz 4 pro. It runs fine but when I down load files for Daz from sharecg they do not show up in my content library nor can I use them properly. This is very frustrating. I have followed the directions that come with the files as to where to put the files and still no luck. What am I doing wrong?

    I'm on win7 but I'm pretty sure it's the same.
    The usual way to install files that don't have an installer, is to copy the "my library" folder you extract from the zip file and paste over the "my library" folder in your Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio.
    If you did that and still nothing, check to see if your directories are setup correctly, to do this, open DS4, then go to edit->preferences, in the new window click on the Content Library tab and at the bottom click Content Library Manager. Make sure everything is pointing to the right directories.

    No free files will show in Smart Content EVER unless they STATE they come with Metadata. If installed properly they should show up in the Content Library Tab. Most of the time in Poser Formats, unless made in DS format.

    Thanks so much for your information. Unfortunately I still cannot see the files in the content library. The two files I downloaded just came with a runtime folder not a My Library folder.

    If it comes with just a runtime then copy it INTO the my library folder where the other runtime is. It should then be in your content library, under poser formats, like Jaderail notes.
