    No, it does not work in reverse with this product.  We will have to see what we can do in the future.

    That is too bad, backward compatibility to use new content with older characters is seriously lacking in this industry. 

    We are considering it.  We will probably do one backwards conversion product to see if there is a market.

    You would defiently have my sale if you do. especially if you make backwards conversion scripts for characters far back as genesis2  I can convert genesis 8 to gensis3 prettty easy but converting genesis 8 to genesis or genesis 2 characters requires a whole lot work to make things work.   I'm a huge fan of your products so I will be keeping my eye peeled for it for sure.

    I’ve converted some stuff I got on Rendo for G3M to G8M, so yeah, it should work.

    This was just incredibly difficult... that sounds impossible!  I will leave that to Daz!

    I would buy this for sure! Very exciting to hear. Should be exciting for everyone all around, including vendors who have G2 items that must surely sell better after this!

    So, will G2M to G8M surely follow, or will this be something dependent on sales? Definitely have some nice armor (esp. Paladin set) that I would love to get converted.

    It will follow unless it absolutely, completely flops, which I don't see happening.

    Oooh!!!!!   Mine!

    The shoe thing has been driving me absolutely bonkers!  I have been doing cheesy workarounds to turn G8F's feet invisible so you can't see them sticking out of the shoes, but I would much rather have a conversion.  This seriously extends the life of my older content.

    I'm not that easy.  If you want eternal love, could you maybe set this up so that it automatically triggers your RSSY 3DL to Iray Convertor script for those of us who have it as part of the process?  devildevildevil  Also, I want a pony and a gun that shoots money.

    Thanks.  The shoe stuff is SO MUCH BETTER.  Ocassionally, the heel will poke out but smoothing usually fixes that.

    Okay... I have a non-standard directory setup, I install by hand, and I do not use Smart Content.

    Runtime and data I do not mess with, they are where they should be, and their internal structure is left alone.

    I have the following relevant paths in My Library 4Pro, which is situated on an external drive:

    My Library 4PRO/People/Genesis 2/F Clothing/ followed by individual subdirectories for clothing items

    My Library 4PRO/People/Genesis 8/G8F Clothing with a subdirectory 'G2 to G8 conversions' set up for converted items.

    I have followed the instructions in the pdf. I have set up a new, empty scene and added the base G8F character. With that character selected, I have started the Clothing Converter script.

    When I attempt to add a clothing item and its subdirectories via the directory selection, I get an error almost immediately in a pop up screen: "No clothing files detected"

    When I attempt to add an item via selecting individual files, it does appear in the clothing item files list.

    But then, with the output directory placed under People/Genesis 8/G2 to G8 conversions, I get an error upon execution: "Output directory is empty or not set"

    With the output directory placed outside My Library 4PRO, when I attempt to select individual files from the G2 Clothing directory, I can again select items, but when I attempt to run the script I get "No items are selected. Please select some items and try again"

    Every change I make seems to result in a different error.

     

    Can the script work with a non-standard directory setup such as mine, or am I overlooking something obvious?

    There is a little problem with name of foot poser converter script. When the clothing converter works it searchs for shoes a script named "Foot Poser.dse" which doesn't exist in the installation folder. This script exists but it's named : "RSSY Clothing Converter G2F to G8F Foot Poser.dse" in a waiting a patch, you can fix it in renaming this file and also the corresponding png file.
